Is it a surprise at this point?
Loser neckbeards continue being loser neckbeards into adulthood

Who knew that the real incel rebellion was the nerds growing up and getting into positions of power in video game companies to larp as jocks.
Nope, i thought the same.
I feel another forum vacay coming on.
How deep does this rabbit hole go? In the light of some of the recent moderation decisions (in-game and out) that have been posted about a lot on this forum, it really, REALLY makes you wonder…
I haven’t been subbed for six months and this news probably nuked any chances I would return.
The issues described go far beyond one person and describe a systemic problem they would need to purge a lot of staff to get rid of, and with a lot of those being higher-ups I never see that happening.
This reads like an evolved Trump tweet.
Revenge of the Nerds didn’t age well.
The boss in stratholme named after alex represents his love life.
Dead and still trying to creep around.
I would also very politely remind you Mr. Kotick got done for sexual harassment 10-ish years ago and was featured in Epstein’s little grimoire of jade witches.
True, but I’d still take the court system with ita flaws any day and time above mob rule and cancel culture, where justice is enacted based on supposed power levels of different people and who screams the loudest for a sentence.
If there are wrongdoings, I want them dealt with as much as anybody else. But not at any price. Mob rule is bad.
I’ll see how the case goes before I will start naming people for things they either are or aren’t quilty of. I have 0 doubts that some of the concerns absolutely have some truth to them, but it needs to be proven.
Can’t blame people for whom this is the last straw. My friends and communities keep me still in, and the RP we’re doing. Barely anything of that enjoyment comes on behalf of modern Blizzard anymore. They are just making their damn sure to make it feel less and less ethical.
SL was already making it very hard to maintain my sub. I’ve never been less interested in the game than now, and only my excellent RP guild kept me online.
Now this. I want to like this game, but it seems Blizzard is doing their damndest to try and make me not like it.
I hope this hits Blizzard’s profits hard.
The sad part is even if there is a mass exodus of people leaving the game, it’s probably never gonna matter to the higher-ups because they’ve already got enough in their pockets to think they’re invincible.
Pretty much the only thing that will ever get through to these wankers is the threat of years behind bars, a threat which is increasingly hollow given how men like Cosby can casually be released back out into the world after their trial lasts longer than their prison sentence.
It’s all just disgusting behaviours from men who lost their touch on reality long ago and deserve a good few kicks to the bollocks.
Or a prison sentence but let’s be real, that’s probably not going to happen as they’ll just pay their way out of it.
I don’t expect the playerbase will be significantly lowered by this.
But I want to see consequences for the company staff. I hope no one lets them get away with blaming Afrasiabi for everything.
Honestly, I’m just glad my 6-month sub was going to reoccur next week, not like, this week or last.
Imagine if I had just paid 6 months for this, yuckk.
I feel sorry for whoever just had that happen to (of any kind of sub) and now feel angry.
Ubisoft got away with harbouring sexual predators the moment they announced their latest AAA product. Blizzard PR has been a disaster in recent years, so I hope it keeps them haunting like a lot of things that still circulate whenever Actiblizz is mentioned.
Can always try to ticket for a refund.
This is slightly different in that Ubisoft was “just” whistleblowers while this is a US state taking actiblizz to court, so stakes are already different.
Hope it sticks though for sure.
Ubisoft, Brewdog, Rockstar… the companies go on but ultimately internet outrage is pretty short lived. Money and time ultimately makes everything disappear. Hell, if Drake can still have a pretty successful music career after all the stuff he’s done?
I agree with you there, if they hadn’t tried to paint themselves as so progressive then this wouldn’t be such a big thing. It’s been known for ages that Blizzard staff is generally treated badly in general.
I won’t be jumping down Blizzards throat however as these are just claims at this point. Even if they, or some of them, turn out to be not true the damage is already done to their publicity.
As a woman, I don’t like the stance of ‘Believe all women’ because women are human and humans lie. I’ll wait until it’s all said and done before judging them.
I am speechless. While Blizz has hundreds of flaws, I’m surprised they had so many problems.
A lot of what is being written here is absolutely insane. If they are proven true… these accusations - well, they’re chilling! - I would have never expected this from Blizzard, tbh.
