asking the real questions
You blame those in charge, of course. They get paid for that, they’re the public face and managers of the business. They allow the travesty, so they are the ones responsible.
So basically everything wrong with blizzard and their IPs is strictky the fault of senior management, refardless of gender, and not the fratboy masses or the other developer teams
(don’t look at this post Aerilen and Elenthas, I’m quoting boush here)
Why are you calling people obtuse when you’re pretending to be ignorant to how you’re intentionally shifting the topic from actually predatory workplace harassment to then making strawman companies up where it’s not as predatory and therefore is a completely different scenario? What are you trying to get at?
They’re arguing about irrelevant scenarios while trying to harken them back to the actual topic and downplay what’s currently happening and what has happened. As Boush said, there’s nuance in the posts and they’re fully aware of it and abusing it to further their own goals.
For example;
OK, but who asked? Yes, that’s a different scenario, wow! It does not apply to the topic at hand!
(And even then, you’re being vague about what the rudeness was - absolutely should change if they were like ‘move over f*g’ instead of some curt dismissals of ‘we’re busy, try again later’.)
We’re just arguing about Boush’s weird random examples right now. Bottom line - jokes, comments and etcetera. can have different interpretations coming from all sorts of different viewpoints and experiences, therefore they may not be the same jokes and comments for other people. If someone says it makes them uncomfortable, you should take that into account, instead of doubling down on defending it.
And even in basic customer service, if you respond to customers in curt and rude manners, they will not come back. If you treat employees rudely, they won’t want to work as well either. This masochistic mindset of ‘stick it out and it’ll get better’ won’t get better if you silence yourself and just take it, you’ll get used to it instead.
yes because it is their responsibility to deal with
Everyone gets a slice of blame across the board.
No, but the management are the ones responsible for fixing these issues- Or letting them keep happening.
Just like in big call-ins or plane crash investigations, ceo’s often get fired because somebody needs to take the “fall”. And bearing responsibility is literally the managements role.
Okay, but, to quote you, Nerathion:
Ah, there it is. You’re not even actually interested about the topic, you’re just jumping on the post because it’s me.
Thanks for clearing that up for us, Nera.
Why ya’ll even entertain arguing with Boush is frankly beyond me.
I am interested which is why I’m criticizing you - stop derailing it onto your own hypotheticals to make a point irrelevant to the topic. It’s not about you. Get off your high horse.
You mean Elenthas. Jokes on Boush, my brain is already smooth and cute. Can’t be made dumb by reading his devil’s advocate takes.
Evidently not, unless Brack has been lying about their half a dozen non-male diversity workshops at the time of the Riot allegations and they are a megainclusive happy go to company where every voice is heard yadda yaddazzzZzzzzzzZzzz
Not sure why people are surprised by this after god knows how many years blizzard has spent treating their fanbase like trash when someone criticizes the writing or the game
Surely I don’t need to tell you this, but if you’re so opposed to me Nerathion, you don’t need to respond to me?
oh fudge
yknow what they say about blood elf posters, can’t tell them apart s m h…
you’re doing it again.
I meant they should. Not that they will.
racist blueberry looking green hair having dead chicken wearing
Just don’t reply to me if you get so upset. I have no ill will toward you, so just enjoy the topic.
I feel really bad, and I also feel nothing but despair and grief for both the game I have loved for many years and especially the people affected by this absolute abhorrent behaviour.
While it is Blizzard’s task to keep their employees in check, it’s also common human decency to not act like a complete savage.
What an absolutely disgusting company.
I’d honestly be ashamed of myself if I worked for Activision/Blizzard. What an absolute clownshow. Sad.
Like I actually have no words for these ppl that can do this to their fellow employees/colleagues. Absolute mongrels.
He just wants to make sure you know he guzzled the koolaid
Yeah, uh, I’m going to have to agree with Loras on this one. Expressing shock and outrage and then IN THE VERY SAME THREAD SCROLL, doing this?
People… seriously. This proves the point. What the heck.
