Harronir should’ve been a playable race in TWW. They were shown a lot in the trailers, just like the earthen, so it felt obvious both races would be added. But only Earthen came out, and Harronir got pushed back.
Now Blizzard says Harronir will be playable in the next expansion. That makes it look like the dev team is either understaffed or planning badly. It’s frustrating because the hype was built during TWW and then left hanging for a whole expansion.
Feels like another example of Blizzard dragging things out instead of delivering when it actually makes sense.
Another problem: blizzard even felt the need to write that the next expansion is coming at last at the end of June. Are they really so unsure about themselves that they have to add that kind of note? It just shows how shaky their planning feels.
They are fast forwarding these expansions with major cuts, so this is how they spread the “content” over. More profit with lot less costs. Im quessing even original plan was to have harronir released in this expansion already but plans changed they went more into this profit margin mode
Since they’re coupled with a new harronir themed zone, no, I don’t agree that ‘it makes it look like that’.
Besides: We’ve known for a while that yes, some stuff from TWW was ‘smeared out’ to create this trilogy saga.
They’re probably required to do that by their legal department. You have to plan for any unforseen big issues (they’re in California; fires, earthquakes, etc can all have an effect on production).
Expansion? This will be another patch for me. Sorry but every expansion after Legion feel like a patch. Just 1 or 2 new things and thats it.
Classes being almost the same just some talents going up and down in the tree.
