Call me when the Forsaken ever make it out of Tirisfal then yes?
Be honest you only like Eredar because they are actually attractive while the dead are rotting corpses.

I mean we have them playable on Alliance side, and so far nothing seems to contradict character customizations as non-cannon. Also DKs, DHs and evokers essentially started out as “we will let you help us but we are keeping an eye on you, gl with that redemption arc”.
Also we have warlocks which summon demons and demon hunters who turn into demons on boths sides. We have light fanatics and void cultists working side by side. What I am trying to get at is that the WoW lore is crap, “the rule of cool” will always trump “lore” when it comes to these things. And ffs we have diaper gnomes and desert vermin as playable races, we have stone women with beards and lizzards that think they are dragons… Sathyr is way cooler than those imo.
I like eredar because they are demons and draenei, also hi warlock here. I don’t like undead because they are rotting corpses (so yes) and they tend to just murded for the sake of it.
Given the chance would you rather be turned into a zombie, that tends to go murdery from time to time and has to replace body parts constantly, ooooor just get red skin and a power boost? Like I said, I know what I’m picking. But hey why take my word for it, pretty much all eredar in this game share the sentiment that the dreanei are whimps that made the wrong choice. Every single undead in the game is constantly moaning about how being undead is literally the worst thing ever, even the queen herself wouldn’t shut up about how miserable she was.
no they are not. they officially joined the alliance.
Also demon hunters are literal demons who are even worse than the Man’ari for they are mentally unstable. Yet they make bases left and right, in and out of cities.
Every encounter with them we receive a new example of a madened demon hunter.
Yeah because Undeads are such a loyal case * cough cough * Wrathgate? The tests with the plague on people from your own faction. Secret assasinations. The Khalia/Arathi situation.
Or the sheer fact that many times Undead are said to be in a faction simply out of convinience while the other side deems them no different.
Same with the Death Knights.
I also wonna add the polar oposite if this- The Lightforged and the Arathi, both of we officially recruited.
Who will turn on us the moment the light has other plans.
Consider redoing those quests
Velen is not happy to see them
At all
I’m not saying its not possible in the future because if they will join the alliance the groundwork has been done, but nothing else.
I do consider it, in part cause it was added in a time that was more dubious for the lore as well but also because they dont speak kalimag, theres no heritage quest, npcs will treat you as draenei
I think its nice for roleplayers who sometimes also play neutral or nonfaction characters but until they get their own race and arent just a customization option it is nothing more then fan service in my eyes atleast
High elves are in the same boat for me because they suffer from the same issues
Dude youre nittpicking some self-made standard of what a “race” means.
Lorewise - we accepted them.
Game-wise players got the option to play them.
The fact that this option is added means its not going away and Blizzard is sure about Man’ari joining the alliance.
From the perspective of reality - they’re secure.
From the perspective of our fictional Alien Moses - they’re "under watch’
You want absolute truth, as it is your notion ? - the man’ari are alliance now.
p.s. i’d be happy with just a customization too, not really caring about a full blown race, though it be nice for druids to have more races to choose from.}
I also wonna add that harronir are being put as a playable race using the dumbest design and the dumbest reasoning yet Satyrs somehow are not plausable according to this Andy here.
They look like the night elf model. Where as satyr would be more like the dracthyr model which… has no transmog ability.
I think that’s a bit too optimistic an interpretation of the storyline. They’re more of an uncomfortable private situation for the draenei I’d say
I still don’t understand why they didn’t go with draenei getting stuck and being enslaved and corrupted on Argus during Legion or something. A couple of years are a great deal easier to forgive and forget than thousands of years lol.
I wasn´t involved in the original discussion, but If I had been I woudln’t feel the least bit stupid.
Harronir are neither quadropeds, nor are they vertically challenged humanoid creatures with wings… To somehow equate the 2 is akin to saying A naga and a dragon are the same thing.
Furthermore, satyr in WoW are explicitly fel creaturews aligned with the Burning Legion, Xavius was the first of their kind… You know, those demonic douchebags that we beat down both in TBC and to a much more brutal degree in Legion?
And ANybody that wants to play as Lady Moonberry (pixie), feel free to do so, But I’ll die in a fire before I invite a flying Ardenweald troll into any of my groups, they’re already bad enough griefers when they´re still NPCs.
As far as teh Harronir go, I´m mostly indifferent. Not because I don´t welcome teh effort and the expansion of the lore and races, I absolutely do, and they look interesting. But I just don´t care what race someone chooses. Unless it´s pixie, tehn then can f off all the way to hell and never come back, ort book a permanent vacation in the Maw…
And yes, teh tooth rairy robbed me and that´s why I hate Pixies (no, actually that’s more or less entirely Moonberry’s fault )
Edit: Ehm, Not sure why I read nymphs as pixies… I stand by every word, but basically everything that applies to satyr applies equally to fauns and Nymphs (which are a subrace of Dryads in WoW btw) here, except the BL allegiance thing… And just to clarify, I’m not against it by any stretch, but as with naga or ogres, their implementation presents a few unique challenges. Most notably normal Hitbox vs oversized collision box, just to a much larger degree than on a Tauren, or the whole armor thing kind of has to be explained (4 boots instead of 2? Or do pants get displayed as boots since they don´t normally wear pants?)… Also, can they be mounted? If so, how does the rider avoid the spiky deathclub on their back? Do they still walk at normal speed? Seems kinda wierd for something with 4 legs that´s half-horse /goat…But it´s also kind of broken if they don´t…
IDK if harronir ever become playable but I admit that I’m no fan of pulling out races out of nowhere like vulpera or kultirans (why are they not just humans?) and making them playable when there are still races like ogres waiting to become playable.
illidan redeemed himself and helped us, what did the satyrs do? they literally were born for xavius association with sargeraas and the burning legion. like, thanks but no thanks.
TBH you can make any race playable by just introducing a friendly faction of them. For a long time darkspear trolls were almost the only trolls that didn’t kill outsiders on sight. They made playable man’ari skin by having some wish to redeem themselves. DF gave us a few friendly gnolls, TWW gave us friendly kobolds. In legion we even had a lightforged nathrezim. It’s not that hard to make a race friendly.
So we dont count any other undead the same? SL is their realm and almost ended reality but sure, they only exist in that spec of land.
Eredar is more like Orcs in their corrupted transformation. The skin changed and eye color. But green skinned orcs are fine… red skinned Draenei problematic? why?
sorry, but theres no real reason why they would not be able to use transmog.
If youre refering to the hoofs- draenei, lightforged and taurens can fully transmog despite having hoofs.
Idk why you compare them to draktyr but even if we do- you can see the draktyr being in the game, right ?
Its literally the lore, its written black on white.
The man’ari join the alliance.
And also in the game you can play as one.
So start making sense.
Oh and the man’ari are totally not burning Legion aligned ? the demon hunters too i suppose.
or that lightforged DREADLORD in the high commands of the LIGHT army ?
Warlocks are also not FEL aligned i suppose.
We even gotten more races to be warlocks so we can avoid having FEL in our ranks i suppose ?
What are tou even talkimg about, who even talks about pixies?
You play a gnome though.
I mean theres a quest in Ashenvale where a satyr helps us and he redeems himself and if you analyze what Sargeras is doing hes actually a chill dude who wants to save his mom- Azeroth.
And they can also add more content involving Satyrs if redemption arc is so important but Satyrs are overall a fun race to have.
Death Knights did far worse than the Satyrs but i guess we forgive them and if we can forgive them, we can forgive Satyrs too.
In Shadowlands they didn’t get any lore. It was all about Anduin and Tyrande while the Horde token guys sat useless in a corner.
Orcs were never demons and didn’t get redeemd. The Fel Horde is literally dead and was next to the blood elves the main villains back in TBC. Another double standard in the writing made by Blizzard.
While I would never say never, ogres would pose a difficulty with the current armor system, and they would need to be shrunk to no more than tauren size. I notice recently that drakthyr in dragon form are the size of tauren, which does make sense.
SL is the realm of death, every creature of Maldraxxus is an undead. There are far more undead then just the forsaken. As you lump all demons as the same dont be a hypocrite and exclude forsaken from other undead.
They drank the blood of Mannoroth for power (TWICE!!) and became the invading force of Azeroth doing the Burning Legions bidding.
YOUR double standards are showing!
I have no power over anything. You are priviliged and profit from alliance centered story all the time.
I didnt say you had any so no idea what brought that up. But you having a double standard with the points you bring.
Horde can do morraly questionable things but allinace cant? Yet at the same time you want the horde to be in the good guys role, while still somehow be the bad guys? I mean much of what you want dont make sense.
Sometimes i think you mix up your RPing persona with your own persona and they are contradictory.
Yes, i know the current story is alliance heavy atm but i wouldnt care if it later became horde leaning down the line.
Difference is when the alliance does something bad no one gets punished. Horde bad stuff keeps happening is the main reason all our leaders are literal whos? with barley any lore background to build them up.
Litteraly the most asked race since forever but we will likely never get it.
Sign me up for Satyrs as well. They are much more interesting than the new troll protoelves (imo) modelwize.
