Harronir, but we couldve gotten Satyrs/Fauns/Nymphs

I know its just a matter of time until we get Harronir as an alied race.
And i just cant help but recall a time 2 years ago where I suggested Satyrs/Fauns/Nymphs as an alllied race and people called it “stupid” and all that.
How stupid do you feel right ?
Idk about you guys but id rather have a Satyr than a hairy troll with chronic alopecia :^)

P.s. I dont think Harronir are that bad, i just want playable satyrs really bad and judging by the standard Harronir set- i really dont see why invent a whole new unfamiliar , uncanny looking race rather than aly with something that was a part of the elves, just diviated, just like the Naga and any other elven/troll tribe.

But Satyrs are Demons, not Elves? Evil, pesky little creatures that infest the deep woods. They were Elves at some point, but the “good” ones want to become Elves again, and the normal ones want to turn Elves into them… On what ground and for what benefits would they bond together?

Nymphs in WoW are subrace of Dryads, allies already and troublesome to include as AR due to their unusual skeleton and double feet gear slots requirement. Also, pants would look funny on them.

Fauns, aka Sylvars from Shadowlands, aren’t a bad suggestion, actually. They looked refined, had Draenei skeleton and animations, probably were even considered as an AR at some point.

retcon the lore, the same way they do with anything.
demon hunters are even less reliale as alies, since theyre not stable mentally and spiritually.
They constantly battle the demon within.
As for satyrs/fauns, what is it to them ?
Super easy to introduce.
Titans are also evil but we just recruited the freaking Earthen.

I, too, would very much like Satyr to be playable. Either as an allied race or just a customisation option exclusive to Night Elf Warlocks.

I mean I want arrakoa and tortolans but we keep getting dwarves and l8zzards no one asked for, because gender ambiguity I guess.

i be fine with that but honestly the moment they gave them lizzards an option to not enter dragon form. They just dont.
Also its such a weird thing that Blizz thinks trans people associate with lizzards.
like wat deh hecc ?

Satyrs/Nymphs would’ve been hella dope but how would they mount?
Oh they’re gonna glide like the silver surfer?
Give them wings!

Sitting and looking cool is their mount.

Like a celebrity
But how do they get from point A to point B?

The people who told you Satyrs would be stupid, I gotta agree with them honestly, Satyrs are former night elves twisted into demons by fel exposure so I would say that in light of that, they would be right.
No one likes demons, no one would accept demons in their factions. Wow satyrs are not the same as irl mythology satyrs

Faun in wow was used once to describe a young Dryad, but is by no means a race in and of itself, Nymphs are just wilder variants of dryads so I am going to assume that when you say faun and Nymph, you mean Dryad, if not please correct me in what creature in the wow Mythos you’re referring too when you say fauns and nymphs

I can imagine them being centaur like is a reason to not get them added at all with model and gear visibility issues.

Harronir is also likely either an inbetween of Trolls and elves OR they are elves that spent too much time around nature magic which gave them animalistic features like quills and tusks and more batlike ears so I cant say they’re a bad pick. Just wish it wasnt yet another neutral race.

We have eredar in the Alliance though. And you have undead on the Horde (which is worse than demons imo).

Eredar are a customization option for Draenei, they are cosmetic, if you look at the actual lore, no Eredar has joined the Alliance, the Eredar lore is now some eredar have listed themselves claiming they wish to repent and velen tells them look homie a lifetime might not even be enough for that but good luck, that to me atleast tells me that eredar skin being available on draenei is just fanservice and nothing more, a way to make your character look more appealing to you, but with little impact on how the game views you. NPC’s will still call you a draenei the same way they will call “high elves” (also a customization and not a race in its own) void elves.

There is no joining of faction storywise, they are being kept under tight watch by Velen and his followers, but that’s it
Eredar weren’t just demons, they were the commanders and the leaders and generally the ones that could actually be relied on as more then just frontline fodder. They are a gigantic risk.

If they do join any faction in an official capacity, I hope they get the Dragon Age Saarebas treatment, that might be the only way to make it make sense and have it be cool at the same time

Many playable races have minor or major armor issues. Harronir model on the other hand is fully armor friendly.

satyr faun and nymph are too wild and do not care about horde nor the alliance.

haronir on the other hand is more humanoid and waging a war with nerubians.
they DO have interest in either of us

do you get the difference ?

I really don’t mind, as long as Horde get’s Ogres :frowning:

I would have preferred Vrykul or Forest Troll but I suppose some people will still be happy with getting Navis.

They were literally part of the draenei heritage quest…

Nothing is worse then Eredar. They ruined planets, the undead are a local threat at best.

Yes, the Draenei heritage quest line (rip they got their heritage stolen by eredar), which is unique to draenei, eredar is definately a draenei thing, but it’s not an alliance thing in the same way that Satyr are a night elf thing but not an alliance thing.

It’s also that same quest which solidifies the whole ok good luck with your quest for redemption but we’re keeping tabs on you

Which have the potential to ruin planets aswell. Idk man I’m biased here obviously, but if had to make the choice of either becoming a demon or an undead, I would be choosing demon all day everyday.
