Has Anybody Re-Rolled From Warrior? Are Mages Fun?

Hello everyone,

Just as the title says, has anybody re-rolled from Warrior, or “melee” in general to a mage? I’ve been playing Warrior for years and even though I love the class fantasy, they are so up and down in patches and overall don’t offer much to groups for M+ etc.

There is nothing a Warrior does, that other classes don’t do better. And I’ve noticed when trying to get into M+ groups I get declined a lot on my Warrior, but on my other classes I don’t run into this issue often. Going into War Within I’ve been thinking more and more about playing a pure ranged DPS Class (Not Hunter or Warlock) and Mage is at the top of the list.

My aim is to continue raiding, doing M+ content and PvP. So I’m curious about you Mage mains / people who have re-rolled thoughts.

  • Why did you re-roll?
  • Do you regret re-rolling?
  • Looking back, do you have any hindsight moments?
  • Things you learnt after re-rolling?
  • Do you ever miss your Warrior / Melee?

I know this is a bit of a loaded post, but I’m just wanting to get some clarity on the class as I am super interested in Sun Fury Mage for War Within, and with the Warband feature my Warrior won’t get left too far behind as an alt.

I re rolled from Monk

Because the current Playstyle of WW just isn’t fun to me

Some times, as someone who played exclusivley Melee for pretty much my entire time in WoW and getting used to range specially dodging frontals can sometimes be a little annoying

Not really.

How i miss having absurb Mobility that i had with Monk. :smiley:

Yeah every now and then, but as stated above i mostly miss Melee for the mobility, as Blink unironically pales in comparrison.
