Has anyone read any warcraft books?

I’m looking into purchasing some of the warcraft books, specifically anything including the lich king (Rise of the Lich King seems to be the only one?) and was wondering if there were any notable good ones to read. I’ll take non-LK book suggestions also of course.

Lord of the clans
day and night of the dragon
rise of the horde

and also rise of the lich king are worth a read.

Warcrimes and Jaina Proudmoore are meh, while tides of darkness is just urg

The chronicles were pretty good. Not stories but just their now 100% official lore.
You can find a list of the books here: (Stupid thing won’t let me post links anymore!!) Google: Wowpedia, Novels
War of the Ancients trilogy is a good place to start imo, especially if you love Illidan.

Take a look here: wow.gamepedia.dotcom/Novels (obviously remove the dot)

It gives all the books in chronological order. You can then take a look at each and then decide which one is your preference.

William kings illidan was good

Warcraft: The Last Guardian
World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1
Warcraft: Lord of the Clans
The Well of Eternity
The Demon Soul
The sundering
I think that is it a bit old school but fun times!

There’s a lot of good Warcraft books out there but for a start i would say the Chronicles 1-3 will be a good start

I have quite an extensive library regarding warcraft books(i keep getting them as birthday presents) i have to say that if you played the rts games beyond the dark portal is extremely nice read ,also the lk book is again really nice it tells you what happens to nerzhul.

I’ve just finished war crimes and illidan and both of them are good read to bridge the expansion stories il start on before the storm. The only book i didn’t like so much (haven’t finished ) is dawn of the aspects,i wouldn’t suggest that one.

I’ve read Warcrimes.

It was amazing and fills in a lot of gaps between WoD and MoP.

Read most of them, some are better than others. Hell, despite all the hate the Knaak books are quite enjoyable aswel.

Tried the William King audiobook version of the Illidan book not too long ago, also very enjoyable.

If I had to recommend just one on the spot I’d go for Lord of the Clans. First one that comes to mind.

Illidan it’s the best Book

Definately get rise of the lich king. It gives so much more depth and insight to the character.

I’ve got chronicles 1 & 2 which is a good start as well as trilogy of War of the Ancients (eventually I wanna read all of them currently I’m reading Chronicle 1) there is Chronicle 3 as well and the good thing is Blizzard keeps developing the Lore books of WoW universe

Own the current 3 Chronicles and have found them interesting and informative of the lore of the universe they can be heavy going as reading material but you come away with a much better idea of the reasons why things are the way they are.

lol ! you must be joking right ? that book was horrendous, nothing new or interesting was added.

I am still waiting until there is a decent quality wow novel, guess that will never happen.

This books are all amazing and I read them atleast 3-4 times each

OP read the dragon ones, they are probably the most fun
