People are just in the mood of playing an actual Multiplayer Massive Online Role Playing Game. Classic WoW was built to be that.
Current WoW? it’s not an MMORPG, it has changed so much it’s more of a Multiplayer Massive Online Carnival. Or we can just call it MMOC
Comparing the two is like comparing two different genres.
I for one, love MMORPGs because I’m one of those insane people that can grind. The grinds are not supposed to be mechanic tough either, classics never were, it’s a test to your commitment to something, and wherever you stop you can pick up again later without your landmark being nerfed. This is because classics are like a home-away-from-home.
MMOCs are not this, you stop at any moment? 3 months later your landmark means nothing and everyone can grab it, your hardwork is trivial. The only things that matter is your collection, like a carnival collection of goodies you took home after winning a prize for tossing a ring on a bottle.

I’d go and say it’s an individual problem. I like to chat a bit before instances start and mostly take the time to whisper to all people I run with. But again I’m enjoying the game so what do I know…
Blaming the “community” for something I don’t do seems like too easy an escape…

We do not hate classic friend. You had a good time? I am happy for you. Just mind that classic server has just opened and you cannot compare it to retail. In classic everyone is starting fresh. There is no LFG and most of the QoL features are missing.
Basicly:

Everyone is questing so you can find ppl to quest with easily. Xone chat is not empty. Wait when ppl hit 60, then zones will be empty again and it wont be that easy to have ppl to just quest with at low lvl.

You are forced to spam chats for groups. But try replacing a dungeon leaver when you are 40 mins away from capital city.
I will just play retail because it has really good QoL feature. All i miss from old days is skill trees and mana management and thats it.

How comes is always people with 0 raid , 0 mythic + , 0 pvp Progression who say stuff like this. Like , you never actually played retail as far as iam concerned. Why would anyone mind your opinion ?

I said to some friends when they asked if I was going to play classic, I wasn’t because it’ll never be the same as what it once was, the community was what made vanilla great for me but people like the OP and the others who make the same stupid threads only prove my point.

Where? I have done a fair bit of Mythic+, Arenas, BGs, Rbgs and Raids. There is no real social interaction anywhere really.
Expect in Durotar, that’s where all the social interaction is happening. Dueling with people, chatting with them and having fun.
Outside of that I only see a “hello” when somebody joins a group and sometimes a few people raging at somebody for not doing the tactics or something…
You can have social interaction while doing WQ and LFR. In fact, doing WQ with friends might be the only thing that makes them interesting so late in an expansion. It’s not the games fault if people choose to play it solo.

That depends. If I play halo campaign , and than say the game has the worst multiplayer. My opinion would be useless
He complains that the game is only about collecting. While not doing any content at at all
What would it change ? Or do you say you have a other character which done content ?

I have played this game for over 12 years. I don’t do dungeons, i don’t do raids, did 1 mythic, maybe 2, but i enjoy other things in game. Basicly you’re telling me, that my opinion doesn’t matter, because i play the game in a different manner then you.

Depends on the topic. Basically someone who doesn’t do any of the main feature shouldn’t run around making up new names for the game to insult it. But he can still talk about how nice the graphics are / leveling is.
But let’s be honest. Why do all retail hater not have any raids done / dungeons / pvp?
Were are the hardcore players they claim to be ?

People spawn-camping mobs, nerdraging and removing people from groups for not tagging mobs fast enough. Someone even got told to “run back to retail” because he asked where Samual Phipps are…imo, classic players deserve each other.

I think what Transmoggu does not understand is that there are many people playing the game for various reasons. I recently started getting into the mythic+ scene and it’s fun though.
