It would be nice Blizz made active this Hati swapper again so we dont hunt the same beasts 2x especially if it is spirit beast in case.

I think you answered this yourself.
Because the recolours are different models, it’s not as simple as swapping skins, it involves swapping models, or developing a unique solution around skins. Hence the whole ‘re-taming’.
I agree it would make life simpler, but the development activities are all focused into ‘must have’, ‘should have’, ‘could have’ and ‘won’t have’ and assigned priorities. I can guarantee this is a very low ‘could have’ and will probably be transcended at some point by a more meaningful pet system / pets that will make Hati irrelevant.
