I was surprised to discover that after this week’s reset, the camera rotation in LFR using my keyboard’s A and D keys has become unusually slow. This has never happened before. In contrast, when I rotate the camera with my mouse, the speed remains fast, and there haven’t been any changes.
Have I missed any adjustments to the camera settings? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
this is effecting me too
turning with A -D character is super slow
use this
/console turnspeed 3000
I have a strange feeling that even in a steady flight mode, mounts fly slowlier than they were…
camera turn speed in settings put it to 10
and use
/console turnspeed 3000
Is it “Controls - Camera - Auto Follow Speed”?
i think so ive logged out
for me it was set to -2
so i put it to 10
and i used /console turnspeed 250
250 on turnspeed feels normal
This must be some new bug … it happens to me on 1st character i log in.After relog everything is fine.I hope this will be fixed soon or we get some info from moderators.
Turn speeds have been messed up since new year’s eve. It always happens when I first log into a character, but relogging will fix it to the proper old value, until sometime later that day at least when everything starts all over again.
I am looking at the config, cvars and all the text files for numbers and nothing seems to have changed or been overwritten and the annoyance seems to be only temporary, but the bug won’t go away permanently.
Now why is keyboard turning important? Well, flying around using one hand for example.
There’s basic turn speed and mount turn speed values and now there’s a weird interaction between the two. After I log in and find my character bugged, if I try entering a script for 60 turn speed, the default value my game has been set to all this time (which is around 2 sec for a full 360), I’ll be turning around even slower.
I will relog and the value change will take effect, but when I log in again later, turn speed will once again be matching a snail’s pace but when I look at the value through a CVar browser addon, the value remains unchanged (60).
Now why is keyboard turning important? - Because it is my gameplay style: I use keys on the keyboard to move (A,S,D,W) and turn fast while in the fight.
Happens again every time I relaunch the game.
Exactly same issue I’ve first encountered yesterday. Also reported this vias BUG report in game. It’s so unfortunate that recent content (starting DF S4) is so buggy
For what it’s worth, for me the bugginess started before Dragonflight Season 4.
I came back to WoW at the very beginning of Dragonflight Season 3 after leaving in Shadowlands Season 3. The increase in bugginess was very noticeable right away. Things that - in my opinion at least - would not have been tolerated previously were just being left unfixed. I’m sure everyone has their own examples.
Hopefully this one gets fixed and isn’t added to the ever-growing list of permanent little annoyances that have to be put up with.
Hey all,
From what I’ve seen, there is a quest on Siren Isle that seems to be causing this issue, and logging on a character that hasn’t completed this quest resolves the issue.
I’m not sure which quest that is however, but it may be worth trying if you’re still having this issue.
The Mech suit unlock or bilge rat cannon quest probably?
Searching for turn speed on curseforge, there’s a couple of addons that may workaround this bug.
Thanks Raijin!
Looks like it may be the quest Juicing Up and Storming Out.
Thank you, though I see “0” relevance of that quest in my case. I have 8 characters; however, only some did that quest. Still, all 8 characters have that camera slow turning issue. Not every time I play them, but they all experience that buggy thing.
Typing /console turnspeed 180 into the chatbox should fix you up.
If it becomes a persistent issue try the kab turn speed addon on curseforge. If that still doesn’t work, let me know. The addon only took a couple of mins and could be tweaked.
