Have to restart computer in order to update?

Hi! I am not the most technical person but I hope this makes sense:

I have two harddrives, one ‘main’ that came with the computer and a extra SSD I bought recently. I keep WoW on the SSD one.
Every single time WoW needs to update, it just says something along “Something went wrong.”. And every single time it’s fixed by rebooting my computer. What does this mean? How can I fix that problem so I don’t have to reboot each time?

Thanks!

This is a really odd kind of issue. It kinda sounds like your operating system isn’t properly handling the SDD for some reason after a while, which gets (temporarily) fixed by rebooting the PC.

You might want to see if clearing the cached data for battle.net which may have stuck around from before you had the new SSD and setting up a new full admin-level user account allows you to get around that, without having to reboot all the time.

I have just a normal Hard drive and I have the same issue,
