Have You Ever Cooked Or Eaten

…anything inspired by WoW, Warcraft, or even from experience roleplaying on Argent Dawn?

I came across this ancient forum discussion -
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/959557-fallout-new-vegas/60297803

And thought, “Yeah. That’d make an interesting conversation thread.”

After all, food is the one universal of all mortal creatures, as part of their unending need to consume.

I ate Kimchi once. Really cool that my local takeout is doing Night Elf cuisine.

I’ve baked pretty much everything from the dessert and bread sections of the first warcraft cookbook and while some interpretations in the book were questionable, I liked the results. The manabuns were the highlight, though rather time consuming.

Oh man, I love this topic.

I roleplay a baker, so I am almost always thinking about ingredients, recipes and just food in general for roleplay. I’m tempted to try and bake some of character’s made-up recipes in real life, since from what I recall, there’s a bit of a lack of recipes within the official cookbook inspired by Draenei…?

I’d love to give ‘sand pear pie’ a go from one of the Bloodmyst Isle quests. Maybe pour some real sand into it for extra crunch.

Maksalaatikko, Makaronilaatikko, spinach pancakes, fried rice, cabbage stew-

I’ve tried human, kul tiran and forsaken cuisine.

I ate an Englishman. He was, as expected, terribly underseasoned.

Thats sad.

All the time! Beijing beef, fried rice, cream cheese rangoons, eggrolls, …

I love to cook Pandaren inspired aka asian food.

When it comes to the ‘real’ recipes, sadly not - but I’d love to! I should really buy the cookbooks.

I have the cookbook and used it for a while several years ago. Great food! Forgot what I made, though.

I very seldom reply to threads here, but this comes with possibly one of my favourite RP-stories of mine from the last ten years, so I simply just have to because it is still a thing and has become a staple in my kitchen ^^

I was rather new to AD back then, and had somehow found myself with a fun little bunch of adventurers. This was way back in 2016, so demons was very much a running campaign theme, and this bunch of players were no different. The story took the party into the Blasted Lands for the sake of hunting some manner of dreadlord, and one night, we found ourselves in a keep. I am not sure how we came to that point, but the local mage of the group went into a rather ingoing line of emoting about making a tomato soup since everyone was sad, dead or dying and generally downtrodden, and for some reason to my tired mind around 2 am in the morning, this sounded like the absolute best soup ever known to mankind. I had no idea why, but the urge and desire to get the soup was cosmic, and there was no way in everburning fel I would let the joy of the suggested heavenly tomato soup be a pleasure for my character alone - so I whispered the mage the most long-shot question in my then very short RP-career:

“I just have to ask - but do you have the actual recipe to that soup?”

AND HE DID! I got a roasted tomato soup recipe with a dash of chili and grilled cheese sandwiches to die for. The night after I made it myself in my sad student kitchen, and it tasted just as amazing as I imagined it would. 10 years after, it is still a staple recipe I make when I feel like I need a pick-me-up, when I can’t be bothered to cook for hours, or when I just want to feel like I am a little bit on an adventure hunting demons, stuck in a lost keep in a ruined landscape for the night.

Kudos to Arenfel Serentyne, the mage I got it from, wherever he is nowadays <3 It remains one of my best RP memories to date. :tomato:

Can you share the recipe with us?
It sounds wonderful.

I really want to eat the Drogbar style salmon. I know it contains snails, but the icon for it looks so tasty and I love salmon so I’m ready to try snail when the opportunity comes. :yum:
Are there any other strange salmon dishes in the game I can be inspired by?

I enjoy making them as well, but they are a bit extensive to prep a times.
I did enjoy doing Brivelthwerp’s Crunchy Ice Cream Bars and Mulgore Spiced bread, however.
