The main issue with Havoc is that you are stuck to 5 second damage windows, after which our DPS goes to 0. The overall damage looks pretty good for S2, but the whole gameplay of the class is flawed. This is one of the reasons why fewer and fewer players roll DHs and the number keeps decreasing.
With the new changes, now havoc is basically RnG since we have to roll AR for best damage output. And there is also the thing that you cannot use most spells if one is on CD, because you have to wait for them line up. Currently, the mover part is the only thing fun about this class. The setup for the burst windows is longer than the actual burst window. When you have everything on CD after the burst windows, all you do is spam Chaos Strike and occasionally Blade Dance. Immolation Aura taking too many GCDs if A Fire Inside procs. Aesthetics-wise Fel-scarred’s main damaging ability cannot be a gas cloud. It would be better to spread out that damage for Metamorphosis.
Just return the class to basics (aka Illidan) and start building from there, since the class has too many flaws that just tinkering with them won’t help…
This super iconic class needs more attention! While doing the rework, please bear in mind the original Demon Hunter skills from Warcraft 3, which include Mana Burn and Evasion (I am saying this because Demon Hunter currently have the worse defensives in the whole game while they are one of the few heroes back in Warcraft 3 that actually had a defensive skill and also that they used to be mages before becoming Demon Hunters, so they should sort of affiliate with Arcane magic). Currently, the class is strangled by having to be too strict with the rotation and also in higher keys, DHs are most prone to get 1 shot by trash due to lack of defensives.
Thank you for taking your time reading this!
Have a great day!
