can someone explane why versuality is more important than mastery ?
40 stat = 1% versuality
19.45 stat = 1% mastery

Versatility affects ALL the damage you do
Mastery only affects some of the damage you do.
If you have a DPS of 2000 and 20% Vers you have a DPS of 2400 since it affects everything.
If you have a DPS of 2000 and 20% Mastery you have a DPS of roughly 2200 since it only affects a few abilities.
considering havoc dh mainly use chaos dmg still cant understand why according to wowhead mastery must be avoided…
and you kinda forgeting 10% vers in stats = 20% mastery in stats
HDH has other things than Chaos Damage, Immolation Aura is Fire Damage, there’s also your auto-attacks and DB do physical damage. It all adds up the longer the fight goes on. Mastery is undoubtedly better than Vers for pure burst. Vanishingly few things in this game are about pure burst. Even in PvP where it reduces the damage you take.
Let’s explain this way depends on the build you play havoc currently have 3 builds to play.
Pure single target build whit talents
Felblade, demon blades,furst blood, demonic, here you have 2 primarily spels 1 is fire dmg and the other is physical dmg in this build vers is the best choice then you have aoe build
Blind fury, glave tempest,cycle of hatred here is good to have little bit of both because most of the primarily spels are chaos dmg.
Like i said depends of the build you play😁
For example yesterday i watch some streamer testing the second build + chaos theory legendary in singe target fight and the only different was he uses blade dance only for fishprocs and all the dmg comes from eye beam and chaos strike
