DH is the only class I never ever got to try out. I’m thinking of rolling a DH alt. Should I go Havoc or Vengeance? In the open world? In Dungeons? I’ll be playing Alliance (just can’t picture my DH being a BE), so do I “have to” go Vengeance or do DPS get a reasonable enough que time? Don’t care about PvP or Raiding (at least not yet).
Vengance basically no que and chill do open world stuffs.
Currently main stats for both spec are the same so you can easily switch between specs without worring about gear.
Absolutely Vengeance. Havoc is a shell of its former self that got heavily gutted.
If you want an easy time getting into any form of content, go vengeance.
Havoc isn’t as bad in a spot as it used to be at the start of the expansion thanks to the recent buffs, in raid it’s still one of the bottom dps spec but it can do alright in cleave heavy fight.
In M+ it’s more top of the middle of the pack and doing quite well. One of the main issues still is single target damage but the biggest one is by far just like 90% of the specs in this game is that it suffers from the bad stigma of " It’s not used in MDI so bad!!! " meaning you’ll have a muuuuuch harder time getting into keys or even HC runs ( let alone 15’s+ and mythic raiding ) no matter how well you perform and people will often favor a trash boomkin/fire mage that does 20% parse at 3k dps on a boss fight rather than a 90+ DH parser doing 5k dps just because " you’re not the meta lol ".
Kyrian Vengeance.
- Instant invite to almost any key.
- Pull an entire zone and win.
- Fastest, most mobile tank - with great damage to boot.
- Torghast even more of a joke than otherwise.
My main alt is a dh, go vengeance, it’s fun has decent dps and is pretty tanky. Havoc is ok but less fun imho. Getting groups as a tank is much easier than dps ( but in m+ you need to know the way ).
