Is it a bug that after doin normal dungeons,and buying gear from AH. I still need 10+ ilvl to enter HC dungeons?
Sure feels like a bug.
If i need to upgrade my gear to pump ilvl to 567, that would be 1500 ish upgrade currency.
Pls dont say delves, as healer it sucks so hard. And Brann gtfo…

Kinda having the same question. Is it as designed that normal drops 554 without an upgrade track which forces you to do everything and anything to be eligable for hc queue?
Don’t mind the increased ilvl as such but it does seem really really strange that you can’t upgrade the gear and you can’t farm crests to craft. Which leaves you in the awkward position of feeling forced to grind renown and delves, getting lucky from the weekly chest thingies or having friends that are willing to boost you.
In short, is this a concious decision that I strongly disagree with or has there been an oopsie?
and worst thing is that with normal dungeon gear u cant get enough for HC dungeons that is wrong

Dependant on your reknown levels, you could have 4 (chest, head, shoulders and a neck) 584 epic items without using a single crest or valorstone. Then with weekly chest rewards you probably get 571 blues from them, random 571 blues from rares etc, if you farm them.
got an alt to 580 it lvl without using any crests etc just by reknown stuff and warband drops from main.
I did the main quest line. Im renown 3 or 4. I guess thats not high enough.
In my years of playing wow, this is first time normal dungeons is not granting acess to heroic.
It feels like a free to play approach.
Weekly should not be needed to get into hc dungeons…
If you did all your side quests, you would be renown rank 7 to 8 in all 4, which will allow you to buy some of the renown gear. This isn’t a problem with the game, not giving you even easier/hand holding progression.
You do need to put in some effort if you want to move onto the next stage of “difficult” content.
And yes, Delves are a simple & easy way to get gear as well. So explore the games content if you want to do more things.
So to build on your statement. If i did that and then did heroic dungeons. After that i would need to farm renown to 15 ish, to get into m0, then farm renown to max before m+. But that not how it works.
Anyway, wow is dead to me until Normal → heroic → m0 → m+.
A bit of an extreme overexaggeration on that.
You say you’ve played WoW for years, but don’t understand the simple concept of how gearing up works 
World Events give 567, I think Blizzard expects those to be the main source for gear once you hit 80, then you go to Heroic Dungeons and LFR.
Its a slow process though, as they are limited per day.
Not sure why they changed the required ilvl to do heroics and why it isnt matching what you can get from normal dungeons. Afaik they havent said anything about it either. Maybe its their way of trying to «force» ppl into delves and wq’s 
Put warband cloth set 571 in your warbank and go queue 
it does not need to be equiped you just have to have a set and it takes warbank into account. Now when blizz sees this they will change it

i can tell you how it looked for my warlock alt
i got to max level today morning.
got 603 itlv from world boss then 2x 584 items from weekly chests , 577 gloves from world boss and 564 trinket from w quest , 561 weapon from wq
then i bought few cheap 558 items off AH and went stright to dvelves for 603 loot .
why woudl you bother with dungeons at all ?
its 565 itlv without doing a single normal or hc dungeon at max level. coudl have been higher but im not spending thousands of gold for things like neck / rings etc .
