Merge the two HC servers fast! I see people trying to make a simple 5-man group for days and it´s completley empty. I get it SoD is were the people go, but there are some that want a real challenge and continue to play HC.

Seems to hit Stitches much worse. Now 3 layers on both HC servers.
Maybe better remove layers?
Don’t worry, once people get bored of SoD they will come back until the level is raised to 40 in SoD.

50/50 situation. From one side SoD is even more unbalanced than Era, from the other it has made a point of no return to Classic Era for many player wanting a better skill kit for their specs. While Blizzard are actively balancing specs for current level cap, it shows that they care about their new project.
Sadly it has no HC support as Blizz are clearly want people to go risk and try everything new they offered. Even Soul of Iron buff NPCs from Season of Mastery and HC are missing in SoD.

I’ve tried to roll a HC character quite a few times, on both realms. Eventually just get bored trying to find a somewhat readable character name. Even using generators from the web for single names throws up “name unavailable”.
2 now relatively dead servers with thousands of created (never to be played) toons reserving all the names…
Nah, nobody will be back till self found hc. Don’t expect people to go back when they get bored of sod. It will not happen, I loved hc a lot, way too much even. I’m playing sod since launch, had a lot of fun now I just wait for bfd resets and sometimes farm gold. Thinking about leveling an alt. I don’t see myself going to normal hc at all, I rather improve my account on sod.
However when they release self found, if they release one new realm for it, I’ll be playing that and sod together.

It’s not difficult. Just take two or three syllables and put them together Tucnal, Barnal, Kinlocun, stuff like that.

Currently most tryhards log in to do their raid in SoD then play another game or another version of WoW for the rest of the time.

Not sure about “now” though, you can see the difference by logging in SoD and HC servers or just looking at forum posts.
I play HC only, and have seen and see people trickling back.
HC will never be big as it was - because people run after FrEsH - but will grow little by little again.
Of course most now play SoD - again because of FrEsH but HC far from dead or even dying.
I prefer to level on HC while it’s quiet - mainly for the lesser chance of being caught up in hyperspawns lol or not fighting other players to tag a quest mob!

HC is just very niche compared to SoD, almost everyone who were playing on HC before SoD was trying it for the first time, SSF doesn’t really bring anything astoundingly new for them, especially considering it creates less player interaction so not sure if it will really help to popularize HC…
And also HC forums is full of “HC dying, we need merges, can’t find dungeon group” rn
Well I could not say. I not play SoD.
And yes, a few doomsayer persons fill up Forum with Merge, please, HC dying Actually more threads asking for DC protection, so is maybe bigger problem.
Most just play and return from SoD and not go here.
I feel very positive about future, SSF or not - I not going play SSF either, not like give up Proffs and groups for hard Quests.
No rewards, no mount, no title or even a tabard. No thanks! I’m not going to waste time on this especially when you can lose your 200+ hour to sudden lag spike.
