I play on a 27’ 2k monitor. Is there any point in installing hd textures, or will I not notice much of a difference with that size? What resolution and monitor size are they actually designed for? Graphic 10/10 if it matters.

Started using HD textures on a 24" with 1080p and it was a mild, neat but optional improvement. Recently I’ve switched to 27" 4K and HD textures are a must.
In the end it’s all about how good your eyesight actually is.

There is indeed a point, not having 30gb wasted disk space, as opting out of HD textures installs them anyway!
in cata you could enable hd texture from the client , now i dont see an option… anyone experiencing the same ?
I play on Max Visuals, and I cant really say I see any difference on my 32" 4K HDR Screen. I can see the difference on some before/after screenshots I have taken, but to be honest, I would not even notice if it is turned off.
