List of Healing Reduction Effects Melee DPS has:
Havoc Demon Hunter - Mortal Dance
Windwalker Monk - Mortal Wounds
Arms Warrior - Mortal Wounds + Sharpen Blade
Fury Warrior - Slaughterhouse
Rogues - Wound Poison
Unholy Death Knight - Necrotic Wounds
Feral Druid - Infected Wounds
Survival Hunter - Mortal Wound (pet ability)
Enhancement Shaman - not sure about it, unleash water yes, but they dont use it surely, probably some one knows about heal reduce
“It’s actually called Unlease Shield but only Restoration Shamans have access to it and it’s a lame pool on the ground. So Enhancement Shamans don’t have a Healing Reduction Effect.”
Retribution Paladin - Seared by the Light Nope, it does not exist, because Retribution Paladins don’t have a Healing Reduction Effect either.
List of Healing Reduction Effects some Range DPS has:
Demonology Warlock - Legion Strike (Pet Ability)
Hunters - Mortal Wounds (Pet Ability)
All melee DPS have a healing reduction effect except Retribution Paladins. It’s nice to see you reworking classes/specializations but the fact that things like this doesn’t get addressed is sad.
Last I checked, Paladin is also a melee DPS, but apparently, we along with Enhancement Shamans are the exceptions when it comes to “all melees having healing reduction effects.” Warriors are not hybrids, yet they currently do more self-healing than actual hybrids DPS while still having access to a healing reduction effect.
Most, if not all, non-hybrid classes do more self-healing than actual hybrid classes. While that’s “unique,” it’s the wrong kind of unique, as it took something that used to be a strength for hybrids and gave it to non-hybrids, while we get nothing in compensation. Even our damage isn’t on par with non-hybrids; they outclass us there as well.
Ret does sub-optimal damage, and the healing is just awful, which affects our ability to perform well in general. On a side note, it’s just painful to survive in PvP.
After Blizzard removed Unbound Freedom. They didn’t even try to give us anything to compensate not even a “Warrior Charge” like ability. Almost all the other melees have proper, targetable gap closer or hyper mobility or both.
Warriors have Charge and Heroic Leap,
Death Knight have Death Grip, Wraith Walk, Death’s Advance or if pick Hero Talent On a Paler Horse from Rider of the Apocalypse Tree they get an extra mobility(can be talented to get 2 charges),
Rogues have Shadowstep and Sprint,
Enhancement Shamans got Feral Lunge, Ghost Wolf and Spirit Walk,
Demon Hunters have Felblade, Fel Rush and Vengeful Retreat,
Feral Druids have Cat Form, Stampede Roar and Wild Charge,
and even Survival Hunter have gap closers, they have Disengage + Posthaste and Harpoon.
While we Retribution Paladins got a horse with 2 charges that requires Blessing of Freedom to remove snare, and now the Freedom can be dispeled. Like, come on, man.
Wanna talk about Divine Shield? Our “immunity” as Paladins. Well, nowadays, most classes have access to immunities. Demon Hunters have Netherwalk, Enhancement Shamans have Burrow, etc. And those effects are non-interruptible. Please consider addressing these issues. It has become frustrating playing Ret against classes/specs that have more effective versions of our abilities, plus extra abilities we don’t have access to as Rets. Abilities, such as healing reduction effect, physical stuns, and unbreakable immunities. I’m not even mentioning the lack of sustained damage and the utterly useless off-heals.
P.S. There may be a lot of redundancy in this post, I apologize for that; I am not a native English speaker.
