I wanted to create a topic about all the spells that deserve to be dispelled in arena. I’m talking about an exhaustive list of spells to dispell without talking about strategy, i.e. without talking about the situation I’m in where the question arises whether or not I should dispell. Assuming that I am in a situation where I can dispell anything, which spells should be dispelled.
To make it easier to understand, I start with my own list:
Every full dr CC (sheep, freezing trap, root, etc …)
Mind games
Soul rot
Flame Shock. (against Ele with high priority)
They can apply two in a row with primordial wave but if you’re able to dispel it constantly you remove a lot of the dmg he can do and also he’ll have a lot less lava surges a.k.a. instant lavabursts leaving him with lower maelstrom generation and therefore fewer earthshocks. The dispel ptotection hurts a bit and its knockup can be dangerous though depending on your position.
If the mind games is on one of my DPS players, l don’t bother wasting a GCD on it, I heal through it.
I can’t interrupt and restart Soothing Mist for that tickle.
When you play vs shadow priests, dispelling their dots on their go is a good idea. But that assumes you can dispell disease, that one deals the most damage.
And on solo shuffle dispel roots fast, because low rated players love to trinket the first thing that stops them from Zug zug xD
About MG: you can, but you don’t have to. It’s no where close to the power from SL. If you have free global - dispell. If it means you need to expose yourself to CC our you have other important global to use - don’t bother.
Spriest dots if you hide behind pillar, he has only two instant casts to apply it with fairly long cd, getting rid of those will hurt him lot
Same with affli dots except it will hurt you so maybe use barskin. Especially when your team can kick him on his next ua casts it brings you far ahead
