As a healer I’ll come out and admit it, healers are nuts in pvp and ruin the game. I’m not going to pretend it’s not true like most others. It shouldn’t take multiple dps to take down one healer like they’re a raid boss. I’m not sure why there’s no dampening in BGs like in arena. Tanks were nerfed into the ground in pvp because they’re balanced to tank raid bosses and not players (except bears for some reason). The same should happen to healers. As dps when you hit someone who’s being healed by a single healer it’s like hitting a target dummy, their HP doesn’t move. It’s basically now whoever has more healers wins, this balancing is a joke.
nah you are just troll.
Always fun to join some RBGs with the ATotM mistweaver legendary
But you haven’t done any arenas on your character?
Stormwind was visited by two Hordies yesterday, one Druid and one Warrior. Regardless of how bravely we tried to defend us, that couple definitely owned the Alliance capital. So yeah, healers makes all the difference in the world.
Bring someone who know how to use healing reduction effects and who can kick spells.
By “we” I mean 3-5 casuals coming and going. The professionals were all obviously afk queueing BGs or whatnot, and I was on a neglected Holy Paladin not build for healing at all.
you are crazy to say that
even if it would be overpowered it never felt worse in this
‘‘fast paced-meta’’ also known as the ‘‘burst timegate’’, throughout inefficent armor
Go do a few arena games, or go do some BGs while playing a geared DPS and see if you come to the same conclusion.
I’m trying to gear this healer through pvp and it’s the worst idea I’ve had in ages lol
Why are healers tankier than actual tanks in pvp?
Nobody is tanky in PvP in SL.
Unless there’s offensive cd’s involved then everything is tanky. It’s why things you do outside of trading defensives for offensives doesn’t matter to quite the same degree as it does in TBC Classic, especially when it comes to positioning and gcd management.
Yeah? You never met a drood bear tank then. You cant CC him cuz he is a drood, you cant do anything against him cuz he can heal himself. 5-10 players are required to kill a drood tank in PvP.
Pff, playing a healer in PvP currently is the most disempowering and frustrating thing you can think to do in the entire game (apart from maybe rdru, and that’s a big maybe).
But then, that’s in arena (or rated stuff in general), if your entire pvp experience is 2man wpvping random bystanders, that might make healers feel pretty strong.
There is a PvP-setbonus that says otherwise ( Trinket-Setbonus )
You actually get weaker as the gear progresses due to versality scaling
After doing bg’s as a disc priest in WoD and experiencing how i at times could tank 3 - 4 people trying to kill me, with no real issues, while at other times 2 dps would continously force cd’s from me then i don’t put much stock into those complaining from a random bg or world pvp perspective. Sometimes it’s just a straight up player skill issue or gear issue.
Pretty much.
If there was a consistent issue with healers outliving everything and anything, I’d maybe be more willing to buy into them being too strong, but they don’t, meta in rated stuff (to my knowledge) isn’t too slow, which it would be if healers were doing too much work.
AND, even if healers by themselves were stalling games (problem was iirc hybrid healing output or tank trinkets, not healers), flat nerf to their output/survivability wouldn’t fix anything, it’d just make a brainless bumrush/cd trade meta.
Yes, that is what I am saying. Most Alliance players welcome Horde players to roam freely around in Stormwind.
While prot warrior can die to any healer 1v1
