Healers getting the blame

Afternoon.

Why is it healers are always the ones to get blamed when BGs go bad?

“Omg healer with % heals, so bad”
“Heal me healer” (when miles away)

Healers get targeted, chain CC’ed and blank silenced, and people expect them to still heal them.

Healers are not immune to CC or silences, or DMG.

It seems to be the under-performing players that blame healers.

Ofc. There is a direct correlation between blaming everyone except yourself and being bad. That applies to any area really. Just ignore and move on

As a healer to another healer. Here is a golden rule to remember in Battlegrounds.

Dead DPS do not DPS!

Then in random BG, healers are notorious for being everywhere but where they should be and mostly self healing than healing the group. This is especially true for Epic BG.

Healers are also always the first to back peddle making those who want heals back peddle too. This is a 100% recipe for failure.

Lastly if you don’t want to be flamed then I suggest join as DPS or join rated groups with friends or guild mates.

Otherwise brush it off and ignore it and learn to turn chat off in any form of BG’s. If you do not want to turn your chat off then download an addon that will block any whispers.

Well, If they don’t cc them heals, and they do you will lose anyway It’s how it works also tell them to focus them healers just to make sure … and also cc them by your self :p.

On top of that check the heals that they have if its 1 vs 3 (good geared) you will lose anyway)

Meh, there’s definitely a tendency to blame healers regardless of how much their fault a loss was.
DPS so rarely have any spatial awareness on not just where their healer is, but where they can realistically move in X timeframe.

This,if i double dash into backwards Glimpse featuring metajump across the entire Map it is beyond my comprehension why no healer isn’t simply doing the same
Blaming Healers is simply the PvP Version of blaming Hunters in every pve scenario.

Same thing goes with tanks, if it’s not the healer to blame then the next scapegoat is the tank. Lost count of how many times I’ve been alone in FR with the flag, dps muck around in mid instead of going for the flag and then inevitably a couple of dps turn up and kill you and return their flag and suddenly it’s all the tank’s fault.

Because some players are too dumb to read the scoreboard.
When healing done in your team is way higher than the other team and you still end up dying, it means the healers have tried their best to keep everyone alive and the dps in the other team is just stronger.

When healers get outhealed by dps players, you can make an argument that they are not the best.

Players who flame healers in shuffle and blitz are very special. Imagine to have to wait forever for a round to start as a dps because there are hardly any healers and then you abuse and bully the few players who still want to heal you instead of being grateful someone wants to do the job.

Healers have to do it because a dead healer can’t heal anyone else either.
They are the number one focus target of the entire enemy team, ofc they have to heal themselves.

On the contrary. Healers have great survivability with multiple walls and healing CDs that they can use on themselves so they can ride in front of everyone else and lead the push.

You will never out heal anyone if your being focused and they are not. I tend to find DPS don’t care about peeling for their healer anymore, they are just to survive the focus and heal everyone…who don’t even bother to use defensives.
