Healers now gatekeep every bracket in pvp

Healers are gatekeeping everything in wow now. You can’t play RBGs without 3 healers. You cant play SS without healers. Cant succeed in 3s without one. And now you cant even succeed in 2v2 without a healer. Double dps teams are basically extinct.

Not everyone knows a healer or wants to reroll to a healer. Healing isnt that fun. Blizz has got to change the play of healers but until they do we need a max limit of 2 healers in RBGs and rated 2v2 double dps only. We need it now.

What is the point of all this analysis, especially that healing isn’t fun part subject with perpetually flawed healers. Reasoning is the concern of the living, let just replace every healing spec in the game with Death Knigh, we always can use another Death Knight.

The main problem with healing is that there 3 dominant specs and the rest is left out in the rain, and if you don’t like those specs well too bad for you, wait for next season/patch.

yeah healers arent fun… i play healer and havnt had fun since bfa which says a lot…

healing sucks compared to wotlk, the spells just doesn’t do anything
In wotlk you did 1 flash of light heal for like 30% of max hp, here its like 2%
the way you heal in modern wow is you use cooldowns and spam instant casts which is awful

"+What do we need?
-A game with less healers so we can enjoy a more ape-ish meta!
+When do we want it?

Seriously now.

As main healer for maybe more than a decade, most of it above 2400 in all brackets, I’ve never seen the game in such bad spot for healer’s enjoyment.
The meta is too overturned dmg wise that every literal 1gcd mistake can lead to a loss; which makes healing super tense and not chill at any time, very little rewarding.

However, playing DPS has never been so fun. Healers can’t stop you if they don’t know how your class works and pre-cd your damage, and if they do so, you can even succeed on killing your target because, dampening is super meme right now.

The idea of allowing to queue with less healers, makes the game even more toxic; because it would be a snowball effect to not buff healers but rather make the game more DPS-oriented; while this could lead unevidably to a urgent turn of the literal entire game to make it how it was in another “healthy” expansion at some point, it would give to players several months of player bleeding and toxic meta and gameplay due to the fact that “apes together, strong”.

The sollution for the lack of people playing healers is just the opposite as the things that you are posting. The game needs less damage, less dampening, and swap the game rythm to one that messing just a gcd would not ruin your entire game most of the times. Less punishing in average situations and less rewarding in the long run for playing good. That would foment longer games, generate more new conditions, reward healers who commit 0 mistakes push, and allow less experienced healers to still win if they play correct when they have to even it they mistake in several situations.

Left out in the rain” somehow feels like a good description of how resto shamans are right now.

The balance is the problem in my opinion. Even tho they are doing constant tuning, its just shifting. So each patch we have had 2 healer speccs dominate, while the rest of the healers are behind. Equally, we have had 1/3 of dps classes having insane damage, and then 2/3 having either ok damage or sheit damage.

The discussion then becomes very POV centered. If you are in the bad dps class bracket, you will complain about godlike tanky unkillable resto druids, and rightfully so. But if you then are a resto druid, who meet the 2 FOTM dps classes you feel like you are not tanky enough and melt like butter. Both perspectives are true, but can easily give rise to “no I am right, you are wrong!” discussions here on the forum.

The underlying problem is balance between classes.
