Since there will be dummies for dps specs in WotLK, I think we should get training dummies for healers too like there are on retail. It seems kinda unfair to me that DPS specs have the option to test their builds and train their rotations outside instances but healers cant do that.

Let me ask a questions, how would that work ? Like a dummy with constantly decaying life ? Would there be any healing reduction ? What exactly would you like to test there ?

Healing output and mana sustainability for example. There are healing dummies on retail and i found them quite usefull when i wanted to test my healing spells
Can’t you just heal somebody?
Sorry that was foggy. I elaborate, I have often been the target of spammed healing spells in cities. I suppose by people testing. Can’t any player serve as “target dummy”?

Well, details (and I suspect other meter are similar) doesnt record out of combat (or at least I dont know how to make it work)

Thats a good point, mana sustainbility. Tbh I have never thought about it this way. But still I cant imagine how this would helped me as a healer. There are far many variables in a fight for a healer so the numbers from , dummy , testing could be somehow missleading ?
you dont stand still fighting a boss as a dps either like you do when you dps a dummy so it would be the same thing
if they dont add dummy’s for healers maybe a option could be to pull a low lvl mob and heal yourself?
