Healing overtuned in blitz/ranked bg

Genuinely amazed this isn’t more of a discussed topic but I feel its crazy that healers are so incredibly over tuned in ranked bg blitz.

It takes more then 3 dps to kill one healer and it isn’t even fast when you have those numbers. That’s a crazy ratio in an 8v8 scenario when 1 healer can hold up at least 3 dps on a node or cart etc. There are also teamfights where nothing dies unless you get a random aoe pressure comp.

Surely can’t be alone in thinking this and it has to be dialed down somewhat.

Start using CC and it take 2-3 dps to take down a healer

yes it take 8 combattant player to kill 1 healer
It take max 3 glad player to kill 1 healer

The game is not balanced around low rating where player don’t use control correctly

So 3 gladiator ranked players to kill 1 healer which is what I said originally so not sure what your point is.

But regardless, if you don’t see a problem with a 3 to 1 ratio in a blitz game with max 8 players then I don’t know what to tell you.

2 healers needs upwards of 6 skilled dps co-ordinating…in an 8v8 game…

Disc priests are basically unkillable in particular so it takes so long to remove one from any node or point it makes fighting pointless. Fighting, pointless, in a pvp mode? And thats not a problem

It should max be 2 dps to kill a healer and 1 dps should be able to do it with sustained over time pressure. But right now you simply can’t

Nothing is tuned properly. It’s the prepatch, what do you expect?
Wait until we are max level and then we can discuss this.

2-3 Elite dps to kill an Elite healer
2-3 Combatant dps to kill a combatant healer
1-2 Elite dps to kill a combatant healer
5 or more combatant dps to kill an elite healer.

That’s more realistic.

CCing one of the healers with trap, clone, polymorph, then killing the other in a stun is very effective.

No one want to heal… So if u nerf healer. Good luck on playing pvp. Coz no on will ever heal you. And cue times will be 2 years…
But that okey. Coz healer are soooo OP…

U dps need us healers. Soooo, yeah. Blizzard will never ever nerf healer. Like i said. If they do, it will be no one who plays healer.

But blood dk heal 40% more then any healer anyways. Nerf them to.

healers have been dominating bgs for quite some time

this prepatch might be one of the rare cases where dps have a legit shot, because most classes are doing S tier dps…

if fire wasn’t nerfed id be confident in able to take down a healer, as long as he doesn’t see it coming, now i can get him low before he walls and become an immortal god

sadly coordinating with randoms even at 2k+ mmr in solo seems very unlikely to happen yet… on some things people react very quick, but on common strategy like “focus this, okay, i can sheep him go the other one” they wont

also not being able to tell your temmates in /s is a pèroblem because bg chat is often not read during combat, but enemy team can read your /s which is a problem very often.

Braindead team tries to kill the healers. Smart teams CC them and kill the rest of the team.

I healed a lot of Solo BG and most of the times we lost when the enemy team had at least 2 non-braindead DD who used his CC properly. For example, in kotmogu i was CC’d for over 40 seconds by a rogue alone in the graveyard. Other BG balance druid stunned me then spam cycloned me for 10 sec into root beam then i got spam feared by warlock… the whole team died because one healer usually can’t keep alive a whole team especially if they get attacked by a melee and can’t free cast.

Players health going down from 100% to 0% in seconds, if healers can’t heal the same amount they are useless.

You hate healers but mostly you are the first one who cry a river when you die in a teamfight (usually because overextending)

it takes 1 bad player breaking ccs, to force the rest of the team to follow and just dps, whats the point of sheeping a healer and removing dots/bleeds if someone else just breaks it after u basically healed him too… might asw skip the sheep part and spam dps…

unless the healer is very isolated
but look, at 2.2mmr yesterday i knocked FC down twin peaks waterfall, and our warrior just charge rooted saving him, classic warrior moment… i still hope charge wont have a root, annoying af.

I know, many times I tried to sleep/hex/fear and cap bases then some braindead melee arrives and breaks it when 0.5s left from capping :smiley: But the opposite happened many times aswell, i sat a lot of full duration sheep/hex/fear many times while i was 10yd away from the teamfight and no one touched me. That’s why i wrote “smart teams”

Anyway, 2-4 sec CC still worth, better than let a healer do his 60k HPS

How does it take more than 3 dps? If I get a beam on them when they’re trying to heal, they’ll probably die before the lockout is over unless they have defensives running before the lockout and that’s as a solo DPS.

Mm no offense but I doubt you are killing any geared healer who is half aware of what they are doing as solo dps.

If you mean a healer looking the other way stuck in root beam and the healer was afk and had walked away from their pc to get a cup of tea, saw something in the garden, went outside and got locked out of their house and had to call a locksmith to let them back in and that took at least 30 mins for them to get back to their keyboard then yeah 1 dps MIGHT be able to kill a healer.

Learn to do some damage instead of whining about healers. Damage output has been so high that people have been dying before you have a GCD ready again for 2 seasons and you think healers are too strong when people die inbetween your GCDs, lmao.
