Healing with a Bow?

Good morning,

First of all, I am not sure where should I post this post…

The other day I was playing a very old-fashion game Rune Magic, and I found an exciting and original class concept… a healer with bow.

After seeing this class I was thinking… what about if WOW gives a new class or even a 4th Hunter Spec the option to heal through throwing arrows at allies.

Some skills examples:
Purifying Shot: Removes one harmful effect from target.
Mana Arrows: Casting Mana Arrow to the party members of your range of 50 absorbs all damage equal to 5.0% of the targets’ max HP for 10.0 seconds.
Curing Shot: Shoots an arrow filled with the power of Light on 5 friendly targets within reach, healing them for 20.0 HP and additionally restores 10.0 HP every 2 seconds for 20.0 seconds.

I was playing other games with “healers/supports” with a bow but never with the idea of shooting your allies with healing arrows… the bow was more to make damage like a hunter or just decoration ex. FFXIV Bard or Rift Bard.

To be honest, I really enjoyed that playstyle because it was an unic. I hope Blizzard could considerate this gameplay, what do you think guys?

Meh. This sounds weird.
Just play Survival in PvP and pick the talent “mending bandage”.

That’s not a bad idea actually.

It could be called “Cupid” and the healing magic effect is Heart arrows

:bow_and_arrow:

‘I wasn’t trying to kill him Officer, I was healing him with my arrow.’

Not convinced.

Haven’t you heard of Cupid before? On Valentine’s Day

Cupid doesn’t heal, he makes people fall in love

Yeah but In wow’s universe it could be used for healing.

I was just using an example to show that Arrows doesn’t always mean damage. In Cupid’s case he uses it for love.

Wow could create a unique concept based on that, but with healing purposes

But I mean the possibility of Blizzard actually adding this idea is very low lmao…

Still no

Drugging people. A Crime.

Druids are so selfish. They have 4 specs but they don’t want other classes to have 4 specs. And Stealth too.

At the end of the day it’s Blizzard’s decision. :woman_shrugging:

A healer with a bow is one thing, healing with a bow is just a no for me. I think the idea is silly. In ESO I used to play a bow Templar. Templars are like paladins, they have light powers and can heal, but the class spells are different from the weapons abilities. So the bow would do damage and the class spells could heal. I loved that fantasy.

Btw, with that set up I could at best be an off healer, to be a proper healer I would be required to use a healing staff.

Did someone play too much Ana in Overwatch?

I was just gonna say bow-shmow, make a healer class that heals with pets, but I’m MW and I don’t want them to steal our celestials as they did “dmg to heal” with Disc.

Other Classes can have a 4th Spec, that doesn’t stop this idea being terrible IMO.

I agree. Would be nice if Blizzard can develop this celestial system a little more. I would like to have a solid pet healing system like the FXIV the Scholar with their fairies. I used to love to control my bar skills and sometimes my fairies bar skills

Anyone here played Xenoblade before? A character in that game literally uses a rifle to heal people. Straight up shoots them better.

One of the characters in my weekly D&D game invented “healing bullets”.

So now she shoots us in the butt whenever we need “help”…

So they invented suppositories? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Oh god I hope not :fearful:
