Hello!
Long time player, and former keyboard turner back in Vanilla. Here with an important enquiry. Ever since Vanilla, where I mained a Holy Priest, I’ve enjoyed playing DPS and Tank. In BFA I have swapped to try out a MW Monk. As both DPS and Tank I love being able to tab-target stuff. I rarely use my mouse, only to reach far away targets mainly. Over time, I have stopped using clicking targets and when I finally got back to healing, my clicking had stopped altogether.
In contrast to what I see in a lot of players videos around me. I greatly enjoy healing through keybinds. As I find it much easier to quickly target my group. (Raid healing and PVP is a whole other thing, but I mainly run M+ Dungeons.)
I personally use alt+1 through 5 and seem to (casually) manage just fine. I’m only pugging M+, and have done so up til +15 to give you an idea of the playstyle.
Now why this thread? I have the feeling I can’t blink my eyes without seeing click-only video’s of healers. Are there still people out there who are using keybinds to heal? What do you like about it? And what do you dislike about it? Why have you gone away from it, and why not?
Also, I would love to see some healers other than clickers spread the word, so I know I’m not alone out here.
