So, I was wondering, when it comes to people who have achieved level 70 for their Heart of Azeroth, we keep getting in game rewards related to AP from dungeons, quests, follower missions etc. and it literally just disappears, so we’re basically doing x and y for nothing, considering that our HoA is capped at lvl 70. I wanted to inquire if there is going to be a substitute? Like for example gold for quests or titan residuum for mythic+, or is it retroactively going to be added once 8.3 comes out and we get additional levels? Because if it’s just all going to disappear, it’s a straightforward ‘f*** you’ to people who have put in the time and effort to reach the max level. Regards.

I recently reached lvl 70, as I know some of the rewards will change to gold but I suppose not all of them.
At least they thought of a solution this time, I quit in 8.1.5 upon seeing that I was getting nothing in return from content since my HoA was max level. We will see how good their solution is this time or I will quit again until next patch.

Yeah, that’s the annoying thing. I’m doing mythic+ and mainly only mythic+ because I love it, but on every completion (apart from usually not getting loot) all I get is Artifact Power, even though I cannot use it so it just disappears. It’s not converted into anything, it just vanishes. So basically, when I complete a dungeon and get no loot, I did the dungeon for no rewards. Considering Titan Residuum takes soooo long to farm to buy 3x specific pieces, maybe change the AP drops in dungeons to drop at least 1x worth of Azerite Pieces when scrapped (400). Personally I think that would be amazing, but most likely will not come to pass as most people don’t care.
Yea it would be nice if they turned mythic+ chest artifact power to 250 gold or 415 azerite gear or something.
WQ AP rewards turn to gold, everything else stays (wasted) AP. This isn’t much different than getting useless loot, though. I mean, what do you do with war resources? Or the Nth useless belt? Yeah, war resources can be spent on missions, but when you’re sitting on 40k+ of them, getting more is kind of a waste. Yes, you can scrap/discenchant gear, so it isn’t completely useless, but we’re talking ~30g a piece or so. Hardly a noticeable thing.
In other words, there are so many other things you get that goes to waste, AP is just another.
And no, the AP you loose now, won’t get stored in a secret stash to be unleashed when 8.3 hits.

Some rewards seem to remain wasted but others do turn to gold.
Yeah kinda meh, my main reached 70, im happy for the extra gold, but paragon still gives 2,5k ap, which is kinda waste.
Personally im farming gold for the next xpac, thats what keeps me ingame.

I took a break from BfA to play Classic but I’m back getting my HoA to 70, hit 69 today, it’s gone surprisingly fast tbh.

The changes I’ve noticed:
- Emissary quests that give AP will instead give 2000 gold.
- The Island Expedition weekly quest also gives gold instead of AP, but the mission from the treasure map can still award AP.
- 99% of the AP missions on the table give gold (around 130 + 100 bonus).
- World Quests that give AP now give either gold or War Resources.
- Bonus rolls that don’t give an item will give 2000 gold instead.
Other AP sources, like from BGs, arenas, weekly chest, etc. still give AP, which just evaporates.

Ok this time they did it right, there are enough gold rewards. I won’t quit. They must have realised active player drop after people maxed HoA before 8.2 released. Good job Blizz, I won’t be toxic for the first time against you, applauds.
Idea to make BFA more alt friendly, at neck level 70 you unlock BOA container which you can fill with AP and send via mail to your alts

Having lvl 70 HoA is the reward for having a lvl 70 HoA, why would you do those boring WQs anyway? It’s not content, it’s literally just a hamsterwheel for humans.

This is a frikin good idea.
And why would I do mythic+ then? Is it not content either? Most of what I get from Mythic+ is not loot and just AP which is just wasted away.

If i did any content that rewards only AP or other worthless currency, i would have given up and stopped doing that content without a second thought…instantly. Nothing but a waste of time, especially when reward is the primary driving force behind doing said content.

I’ve lost interest in the game once hitting 70, the reason to do WQ’s, Islands, WF’s even raids for me has pretty much gone at this point. They need to open mythic cross realm (I’m a guildless pugger) or give me a worth while reason to do the daily stuff.
I’ve been farming old mounts the last two weeks, didn’t even bother with M+ this week (the chance of an upgrade feels so slim now it is almost pointless but that is another thread)
It’s funny you should say that, this came up on my wowhead feed this morning. I think the site is down atm for maintenance but it seems to indicate this will happen at the next weekly reset.
