I have nobody to share this with since none of my friends play WoW, but last night i got this mount on my 5th total attempt, and i literally couldn’t belive that this happened.
Always thought that this is the prettiest mount in the game, and went there and killed it once a week just so i can atleast say i tried, and it just dropped, good luck to anyone farming anything, and people im gon be for real.
Myth about new accounts having increased drop rate has to be somewhat true, i got Arfus and few other 1% mounts all on 1st or second, so either godly rng or something is up.
Congrats on not having to farm that boss again! Since they increased the drop rate on the MoP world bosses, i’ve got the mounts pretty fast. Only got Nalak left.
I have been very lucky with mounts since i started farming them. The one that took the most was around 300 tries but at this point, its the TW mount at over 4000 tries but that is each boss in a dungeon.
Thank you boss, also small update, i literally got Headless Horsemans mount today, also just trying with one char, im too lazy to make alts, but with this luck you dont need alts
That bug was during the DF pre-patch event and it was due to evoker not having anything else on the loot table except the mount. It used to be a 1 in 3000 chance now it’s 1 in 500, which beats out mounts like invincible and ashes which are ~1 in 150, so it’s still pretty rare so gratz to OP.
" Players have noticed that Evokers landed themselves with a special situation with Sha of Anger and Nalak. Currently, the only loot they can get from those world bosses is Reins of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent and Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent
Edit: This now appears to have been hotfixed and Evokers are getting regular loot drops.
This happens because the whole loot table from these world bosses is class-locked. This means that the only piece of loot that a new class can get is their respective mounts, Reins of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent and Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent." - 16/11/2022
There was a bug in Pandaria where the mount did not drop at all and it took Blizzard a lot of time to hotfix it but the drop rate was 1 in 3000, the drop rate increase happened after the Evoker bug where it was almost 100% and it became 1 in 500.
