well it still do make leveling easier, considering whit looms you do not need to bother whit new items, every 10 levels, and if it is true as they say leveling is way faster in SL, and there is only 60 levels, it is still faster to level, but we se.

Personally I never liked the heirlooms part that made gear from the world totally useless, but I did like the bonus XP from them. I wish they made the opposite that if you bought heirlooms you’d lose the gear but keep bonus XP as a perk.
A potential system they could make that allows gold sink is an account talent tree which makes it fun to fill, you can purchase small perks that can help you in various ways (that will not affect raiding or pvping), examples:

0/5 Goblin Culture: increases your raw gold looted by 5% per talent point
-
0/5 Fabulishious: decreases the cost of transmogifications by 3% per talent point
Etc. These are just examples that you can “purchase” talent points to spend (unlimited maximum talent points bought, once you have something your account has it).
People that bought heirlooms would then receive talent points according to the amount they already spent on buying heirloom gear. Just an example of how heirloom can not be a waste for people who bought it already.

That alone ain’t worth 900k gold. Not even close. You are showered with gear while leveling anyway, be it by questing or by getting random dungeon bags.

Which is pointless. Without the experience buff now all they do is remove the excitement of getting new gear pieces and nothing more.

dont see a big difference to before then tbh.
they could put that on heiroolms realy.
like:
- on equip gain more resources from mobs you kill.
- mobs have a chance to dropp a box of items or gold.
all kinds of stuff like that instead.
Well i’ll spell it out to you.
Experience bonus before, no experience bonus after.

yeah, and you will level faster in shadowlands, so its not any slower, probably even faster without heirlooms still.

Do you really think this is okay to replace an XP bonus with those things and that people will be fine with it ? We bought it for the XP , not to get some useless ressources or some more gold.

Sure we will compared to the revamp for levelling they did, it’s easy to feel like you’re in a good spot when someone finally stops beating you with a stick.
Ah the good old days when you could level a character to cap in 2 days.

Not always, it can be hit or miss at times when it comes to some gear pieces.
I waited a good 30 levels through vanilla content and dungeons before I got a replacement weapon for the bow that I had while everyone else was walking around with weapons that matched their levels more.
During the WoD opening questlines I literally got a weapon at the start and just before the garrison was created.
so did I, but I am not to bothered buy it, and as I said, getting some gold back would be cool, but if not, I am fine whit it anyways, becuse they would still make leveling easier when you have no fuss to get better gear every few levels.
