The current one sucks and is outdated, why not replace it with the new system the one we use for upgrading items with Crests, but instead of using crest for upgrading we use Timewalking Badges of course,
TLDR keep the currency cost just change the system.
I think you don’t understand what Im saying, you can upgrade them with Timewalking badges yes, but make it more streamlined, instead of buying [Battle-Hardened Heirloom Armor Casing] or [Battle-Hardened Heirloom Scabbard], just talk to an NPC, put the heirloom piece and click upgrade with Timewalking badges or whatever currency you want to use .
They need to redo the system entirely. Right now you need to buy 6-7 items just to upgrade 1 item to scale it the latest expansion’s max level.
They should just have 2 items total.
1 to upgrade all Armor to the last expansions max level. and 1 to upgrade the weapons to the same. and when the heirlooms are able to be level up to the current expansions max. these 2 items are then changed to level your heirlooms to a new max.
this way you still need to spend gold to upgrade your items. but you don’t need to constantly spend 100 thousands of gold to get each piece of gear up to the max.
And this would also be new player friendly. where they do not feel overwhelmed by having to buy all these different items just to upgrade 1 piece or armor they will not use once they start the current expansion’s content.
I get what you’re saying, but also I think if Blizzard did this they would make it way more expensive than it already is.
And at the end of the day I still think they should shelve the entire “upgrade heirlooms” business and revert it to how it was before.
The Goblins are more likely to run off with the currency, and the Gnomes are more than likely to try and build in upgrades that’ll kill you, and your target in the process.
May I suggest, for your safety, that you see out the right forum for that idea, and not a realm forum?
