Hey y’all. So since obviously in TBC the Leveling Meta is to get boosted by a Mage, i bought a Second Account, leveld my Mage on it to 70, and now Plan to boost myself a Shaman on my already existing Account (where also my Main Rogue is), i will from now on refer to my “Rogue/Shaman” Account as Account1 and to my mage Account as Account2.
Anyways. Here is the issue:
Whichever Account i log into first is crash safe, however the Second Account i open, lets say for this case it would be my Account 2, crashes. If i tab into Account 1 for approximately 5~ Seconds or so, Account2 will crash. So, whichever Account i open secondly needs to pretty much ALWAYS be my focus, because otherwise it crashes (also a little note; whenever i Tab back from Account1 to Account2 if it hasn’t crashed yet, i experience Major FPS drops for about a second or so)
(And yes, i did try launching with no addons, didn’t last a second longer, also on “Repair Files” i got told there is nothing to repair.)
System:
RTX 2070 Super
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (OC 4.2Ghz)
MSI B-450
3000 MHz of RAM
How much RAM do you actually have? The frequency of the ram doesn’t really matter if you don’t have enough of it. If you only have 8GB that might be the cause, if you have more it is most likely driver/software related on your side. I don’t know of anyone who have problems running more than one client at a time.
My windows uses 6gb of memory, with a few programs open, I have 16gb so if it’s only 8gb then the system will use hard drive space as extra memory when Warcraftx2 is open.
I just checked and my system works fine with 2 Warcraft’s open, both Classic and Retail.
There hasn’t been any changes from blizzard side, I’ve been playing on 2-3 accounts since classic and haven’t had any issues at any point. My computer specs are a bit more lightweight i9 9900K, rtx2070 and 32gb ram.
Anyway with that hardware it’s not efficient run 2-3 clients with all settings set to the highest so my suggestions are following:
Run other client with settings 1 (the most lowest quality), set background fps low like 10-30 if you’re not playing on that screen, if you need to be able to see what happens on both clients set both clients graphic settings low and background fps minimum of 30. Set scrolling combat texts off, set your weak auras and disable not needed like if you have total damage done and how many mobs wa’s with multiple accounts if takes a lot of resources and freezes my both games so I’m using this only on one if 2 mages. Try running game on windowed mode and set window scaling something lower e.g I have 34” 4K screen and have set scaling to full hd so rendering isn’t so resource heavy.
i have weaker pc & I play 3x accounts in same time, perfectly fine.
in game press Esc > system > graphics, set vertical sync (enabled) for your accounts, this shouldn’t make your game drop fps or crash while changing between them. if you have a 240Hz monitor? you might set vertical sync on (disabled) but make sure to go to advanced graphics option in game set both the max foreground fps and max background fps on same number for both of your 2x 3x wow (80fps) should be perfect.
if you still have game crash? change the game display mode to (windowed) & put anti-aliasing on None.
