Hi all, I started playing WoW for the first time a few weeks ago. I instantly fell in love with it and signed up for a year, I’m still learning how the game works but I was having so much fun.
I’ve created one of each class and boosted them all to level 70 so I could try them all out before deciding which is my favourite (£1020 ish spent Please don’t judge me, I have Autism and ADHD and video gaming is the only thing that I enjoy atm).
I’ve been playing all day every day since, 12+ hours a day and after a few hours of playing this morning I received an email that my account has been closed/banned for unauthorized cheat programs.
I haven’t used any cheat programs, my hands aren’t great so I’ve been using Lazy Macros to put less strain on my fingers could that have caused it? I don’t know what to do, I was having a happy christmas day until this ruined everything 
The email noticifation of your suspension included a link to appeal the sanctions, this is the correct process to follow
Posting about it on these forums can only really lead to a forum ban or at least a warning, because discussion of moderation actions ihere s explicitly prohibited… And to be candid, neither we as Users nor the Forum Moderation team would be able to actually help with your issue either way. 
Simply appeal the suspension using the link provided and tell them what you have told us. Good Luck

Thank you for replying, should I delete this then? I can get forum banned for it? I have done the appeal but only got a generic response
As unsatisfying as it may be, Is it probably not a bad idea to delete it, yes. You’ll likely only be warned as a “first opffender”, but it will definitely be closed.
The generic response is unfortunately normal, not just for blizzard, simply due to the large numbers of tickets that are more often than not frivolous or simply “PEBCAK” (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard")… simply stick on it for a response or two despite it being marked as “answered” and you will usually get a real person on the second or latest third response that will look at it in more detail.
This may unfortunately dtake a few days as we are currently in teh middle of X-Mas, where most people prefer not to work and their employers begrudgingly allow them to stay home 
BTW the use of Macros shouldn´t normally cause acout issues, but there are some addonse such as GSE that that may or may not be frowned upon and exhibit “mechnical” behavior when used.

You won’t get forum banned for a single thread, they will just tell you to appeal it via a ticket, and close the thread.
The only people who really get forum banned are those who keep opening new threads about it, and trying to argue.

Ok thank you I will do, I’ve bought TWW on new account and signed up for a month so I can keep playing until I get a response.
if I don’t get my account back then I don’t know what to do, It’s upset me a lot I’ve been crying on and off since. GSE is for macros but is frowned upon? So the macros caused it? I’ll have to stop using a macro then my hands can just deal with it, thank you again! <3
Froenewd upon may have been a slightly inaccurate choice of words… It´s not disallowed, as macro use is explicitly allowed…
But the way GSE processes things and the resulting recommended outputs can sometimes appear “scripted”, which may or may not cause the account to be flagged for investigation (I can´s say for sure as I don´t work for Blizzard and therefore have no direct insight into their internal systems, but I do work for a contemporary developer in Backend /engineering and do have a well founded understanding of how such systems work).
And it does seem to be a recent trend for people to get banned and then unbanned a few hours later (assuming they´re being truthful, ofc), so there may or may not be something going slightly awry on the backend
