HELP Gift of N'zoth

Without cleansing it, how long are we stuck with the third eyeball hiding our helmets?

-I already cleansed it on an alt, I just want to know both sides of story to see what happens later.

Unknown. It may or may not alter the story for your respective character down the line like it does for Sylvannas supporters and Saurfang supporters.

It is “implied” it may do so as you can still finish the Crucible clear quest without cleansing the buff and N’Zoth even stating that you are indeed the ones he seeks to turn the tide and that his dream has become your own (your character is not the only one with the gift but others too and it is stated) and who knows what blizzard meant with the “twistful ending of bfa”.

The twist can either be a real twist and be like we join forces with N’Zoth against the Light and the Void (The light is not Good. Not entirely. Legion proved that on two occasions. And who dictates that the old gods serve the void lords blindly and willingly) and helps mending Azeroth (who knows better to aid a being than someone thats been rooted to her since before the dawn of man) or its just a lame “twist” aka “you fight N’zoth at the end. Who would have guessed :OOO”

I personally am sick and tired of always fighting old gods without some deeper motives behind their action aside from “im evil. Imma corrupt everything. Tentacles. Toodles”

Brothers, do not reject the gifts that N’zoth offers us. We must keep His Eye upon us as a sign of devotion and true believers will be rewarded. Be patient because the Master of the Depths will not disappoint anyone :octopus:

The Light and Void function in two very different ways; both of them are capable of seeing the future, but only as it pertains to them; the void can only see the future of the void, and vice versa for the light, never the whole. The Light sees only one of these possible futures as truth, and pursues it dogmatically wherever possible, thus giving us Xe’ra and the Lightbound on AU Draenor.
The Void on the other hand, sees all these possible futures as truth, which is where all of their whispers come from; some will be true, others will not, and so on. But none of them will ever be in our favour. An eldritch being will never be in the favour of mortals. We are tools, simple and meaningless. Should the Old Gods be freed, they would only enslave us. There are no good Old Gods. They act as any other pure void being would. All they want is chaos and to revel in it.

Hence i said the twist. I know how it usually is. And its boring at best.

I never said he could be good. Just use the term “morally grey” as blizzard likes to use that term nowadays.

Brothers do not listen to the infidels because they will try to confuse you. N’zoth is the only way, he is the future :octopus:

Pandarans are easily corrupted. I Will enjoy slaying every single one of you when u side with the old gods.

The pride of the Zandalari is as legendary as their ease in forgetting their humiliating and continuous defeats. Luckily N’zoth forgives the insolences in exchange for infinite devotion. Repent, accept the Truth of the Depths and you will have a place in the new kingdom that is to come :octopus:

:octopus: all day every day.
Had fun with that questline, as I have a priest who spent all of Legion in Shadow spec and getting to spend time with Xal’atath again was great

A question about the in-game mechanics of the whisper sounds:

At first, I just had the eye with no whispers, which was cool. Now the whispers are constant and very annoying (just to be clear, this is an unintelligible background whisper-noise, not clearly spoken scripted lines).

I can’t seem to turn it off or down without completely turning off all other sound effects, which is no good to me.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

I suspect it might be glitched because the first time I logged out after getting the ‘Gift’, it disappeared from view.
Brother Pike in Boralus still acted like I had the Gift but the visual mog was gone: I was back to my normal transmog. I had to abandon and re-aquire the quest to get the eye appearance back.

Extra info: the constant whisper-noises started up during / just after a M+ run of the The Underrot.

Thank you for answering

But can it be turned off or down?

Edit: sorry didn’t notice that was a link. I’ll check it out

I dont think so i would put in a ticket or bug report as that must be so annoying .

OK, so it looks like it’s all down to coincidence.

  • I just got the Gift of N’Zoth a few hours ago.
  • I was doing in the middle of doing content (Crucible of Storms, then M+ Underrot) when Blizz dropped this new whisper thing.
  • I didn’t realise it was new.
  • I think it glitched out the visual appearance when I re-logged for the first time.
  • I abandoned and re-aquired the quest (which I think has made the whispers even louder. Urrgh)
