Hello.
I really need some suggestion and help which class to pick next.
I prefer healers and mostly heal in BGS ( random and ranked) with some arenas.
So far in BfA i played Mistweawer Monk and I like him a lot. I am really torn between Discipline Priest and Holy Paladin.
Please help me with decision because I can really go either way.
Very similar situation myself I went with priest because… well, because I’m planning on a paladin in classic and I don’t want to spoil that experience. Although if we had pandaren paladins, I’d totally be down for one right now.
In FOTM terms, priest is probably a lil stronger in most situations than paladin right now, but it isn’t huge and afaik holy paladins have no problems finding M+ groups. Shadow priests are currently more welcomed than retri paladins, but maybe that doesn’t matter to you.
In gameplay terms, to my knowledge (which is the knowledge of having neither class at max level), the disc priest will be more mobile because of instant shield casts vs a paladin who has to pretty much plant their feet to get heals out. Both will contribute a little damage output, but the paladin will be up in melee while the priest can hang back. Which probably means the paladin is closer to mistweaver than the priest is.
Also, which looks cooler to you? Are you more excited by shiny robes and staves, or shiny plate armour and shields? When you solo through outdoor questing, do you prefer melee or caster?
(Also druids are a lot of fun, desirable as healers, and super flexible.)
Well i am really smack in the middle of them so i am looking for basically raw healing output, something that can match MW Monk.
I rarely see HPala on top in healings.
MW is pretty much top pick on output right now, tbh. It’s not vastly overpowered, but it is certainly strong when played well. (Can be hard to play well though, there’s quite a lot to think about.)
Pala vs priest could simplify to “do you want to stand in melee, or at range”? Those things are pretty definitive differences, but healing output is always subject to change every patch.
