Help! Marin Noggenfogger's Lucky Coin

Im trying to get these boots: Boots of Artful Dodging.

My understanding was you need a Marin’s coin to turn in so that you can get possibly get the boots from the vault.

I have never done legion so I went like to 6 different places pickpocketing and killing mobs that are supposed to drop it, including pickpocketing a mob that was supposed to 100% drop a coin. But I got nothing, so I started the legion campaign (I never did it before) thinking it must be that I need to start the campaign.

I dont have the time to just keep going through the campaign and guessing when the coin will be able to drop.

Can anyone let me when the hell I can get this coin to drop so I can get the boot for mog?

You get the coin from the mission table in your order hall randomly from successful missions.

The artful dodger stuff is also a random drop for the bag you open with the coin so youre not guaranteed to get boots or any of the pieces froma coin and may take many.

So you can not get it from pickpocketing/looting certain mobs anymore in the legion region?

Not that im aware of.

I recently had to do the same thing for the mask.

Since I have you here, any idea how to recruit him as a follower? Hard to find guides online for this since its been so far back.

Go to Illidari Stand in Azsuna and pickpocket the demons there, can take hours and hours but it’s a good spot with a lot of mobs to pickpocket. I got a fair few Noggenfogger coins there.

Also a handy addon is pickpocket, it gives a timer for when you can re-pickpocket a mob, about 7 minutes CD.

You can also collect loads of coins of air there.

Must I have Marin as a follower to be able to pickpocket a coin?

Im also there right now and not getting any coins of air from pickpockets.

I’m not sure if you need him as follower but he needs to be available in your class hall.

Have you done the quests for the coins of air? You get quests to collect X amount then there is a weekly quest that gives a fair bit of gold.

I just picked up the coins of air quest now. Im looking at WoW head, and it says you must train the vault in order to be able to pick pocket the coins.

No clue how to train the vault, there has been no instruction on that aspect of the expansion so far. I’ve done the sub and assa intro artifact quests, nothing regarding training a vault has come up so far…

NVM Just found it after doing 2 missions on the board. I’ve made the first upgrade, gotta wait 2 hours then I can upgrade the vault. Zzzz

I would say hang around and see if the spare box toy appears but that is a painful spawn!!

I recommend doing the class hall questline whilst you wait as it is one of the better ones :slight_smile:

turned in like 10 coins so far, it’s the same rewards. I expected it to reset but I wake up today turn in another coin and still same rewards :S
