Help me clear mail for faction change

So I bought a server tranfer and faction change yesterday from Earthshaker EU to Gehennas. The server transfer worked without issue, but now I cant use the faction change.

I’ve opened a ticket aswell but seen some people have success here on the forums so figured Id write here aswell.

I tried:

Removing Everyone from Ignore List (still nothing in my mail)
As far as I can remember I didn’t do any quests on this character
I renamed my folders to InterfaceOld, etc and tried resetting UI, nothing
I was even able to delete my char and restore them. Still have the same error.

The character is Toxxens on Gehennas-EU Alliance.

You need to ask in a ticket, they used to do it on the forums but the management stopped them from doing it.

You probably have some delayed post-quest mail turning up eventually.

You will need to wait a long time as the ticket queue is long.

There’s quite a few restictions so might be worth checking if any of these apply to your character.

Restrictions

Service Restrictions

  • You cannot faction change a character on a Starter Edition account.
  • You cannot faction change a character that completed a character boost in the past 72 hours.
  • You cannot faction change a character that completed a faction change in the past 30 days.
  • You cannot faction change a character that exceeds the gold limit for its level.
Character Level Maximum Gold
10-30 500g
31-50 2500g
51-80 25000g

In-game restrictions

  • You cannot faction change a character that isn’t at least level 10.
  • You cannot faction change a character with active auctions on the Auction House.
  • You cannot faction change a character with mail in the mailbox.
  • You cannot faction change a character that is a Guild Master, you must transfer leadership to another member or disband your guild.

P.S. The article defaults to modern wow so make sure you click on the Lich King tab as the rules are not the same for each game version.

That’s what I always thought … but then how could they change realm if there was mail on its way?

Did it actually say it was mail blocking your faction change, Toxxens?

I don’t think the OP has mentioned the actual message they get. They could be assuming it’s the mail but it might not be that.

It was mail, a GM helped clear the mailbox for me from hidden mails and I was able to faction change!
