This is what I usually say about tanking, you beat me to it!

You’re the boss, you decide what pulls to make and what ones you’d rather skip, if you get a cocky or rude teammate who deliberately pulls without your sayso - let them die. The Tank Gods will be pleased by the blood offering. Don’t let others walk over you just because you’re a new tank learning the ropes and they don’t think you’re playing “optimally” - stick to your guns!

Edit: But do learn routes and how to play your spec, through the various sources/addons listed here or even just through experience, but do it over time and don’t overwhelm yourself! Practice makes perfect and tanking needs a fair amount of it.

If the extra pull was clearly an accident though, maybe step in and pick the mobs up!

Also an option yes, still a useful tool. I recommend planning around your group setup though and not just import dratnos routes. Point is still having a plan so u know the % and what to pull when.
