Help me with your class knowledge!

Hi everyone!

So my question is not about wich class to main or play. But because i have no exp. In these classes i need help from someone or from more wich one fill the best for my play. I’m a solo player 99%. I love to so actual content quest,wq, and some m+ but only some low key max 10-15 but thats a goal not the actual keys i’m doing. (My max key was +5) beside that i love to do old content clear out old expansions and farm tmogs and mounts. My favourite type is leather so thats why i want to play monk or druid.

Wich one suits these option the best? I have a 30lv monk and i already class trial a druid.
I read already that druid are good in old content and fast. But how about monks? Since they are meele are they slow and struggle with old content clear or they also fills my needs? Thanks hwo spend some time to answer and helps me out.

Druids are speedy for old content.

I don’t think any spec struggles with old content.

if you want a fast class arcane mage with a speed set is pretty much perma sprinting and got a spamable instant aoe spell for clearing out packs fast.

Havoc DH stacking mastery+speed set is also very fast.

Even Dks with a speed set can reach pretty good speed

im levelling a priest (45 now) and im destroyin every enemy. So i guess for levelling any class is good.

^^ This, so just play whatever you feel is the most fun or if it’s for transmog, whatever can wield the most weapons.

Hunter is best solo class imo but it is up to you what you like to play. Been playing priest for 20 years and I love it. I cant imagine to play more than priest class!

Monks are not slow by any means.
In fact, theyre known for their mobility.

For long distance travel, druid is better than monk.

But you also never see your characters transmog as a druid. Which kind of defeats the point of collecting it.

Now this definitely comes down to taste so you may feel completely differently, but let’s say I’m not playing monk for the abundance of amazing tier sets. Most make me snort and giggle

There are definitely a few decent ones tho, and great leather items so that in itself shouldn’t stop someone!

Oh yeah, definitely a matter of taste on what sets you like.
For the most part i think monk sets are sweet.
Often with a dumb hat though haha
Whereas druid sets are pretty much all ugly imo. But i also dont get on with that theme.

But really i just brought it up because if OP wants to play a leather character for their transmog, druids dont get to see their transmog that often.
Its the biggest problem with that class.
Your race and cosmetic decisions dont matter. Your either a full time cat or a fat chicken haha

Yes… and big beads. What’s up with these beads anyway, Thrall sporting them, TP having them, several monk sets… I’m so lost on why. It reminds me of those ugly fake necklaces old ladies would wear

We need to pray before the start of the dungeon that the pug would be a good one.

Druid is the most versatile since it’s the only class with 4 specs.
I personally don’t enjoy the playstyle in the slightest, but if you do, then go for it.

there is no wrong choice here . most of the classes can fulfill 2 or 3 roles .i myself have started playing the game a month ago and i have tried out almost all classes to see which ones i like and which role i want to take .
so my advice would be to try them all .by lvl 20 you can easily make up your mind if you like the playstyle of it .

which one did you choose?

If you’re aiming to mostly solo stuff and you’re a casual player, I’d lean more towards druid. Both are good choices imo, but if you’re struggling with an elite wq or a rare and decide to go tank spec, guardian druid is a much easier tank to pick up than brewmaster. Druid also has two dps specs so if you prefer ranged over melee, or if you’re not finding a dps spec fun in a given patch (assuming you want to future-proof), you’ll at least have an option whereas as monk you’re stuck.

It’s also worth noting that druids get stealth, which can be very helpful in certain situations.

dh , monk , druid , got good kits heals /self heals .
Monk and dh are more fun if u ask me , i play all classes at a pretty good lvl . Druid to many binds and forms if u wanna play him properly still can be fun and the traverl form is one of the best in the game .

Don’t worry about old content, once you are 5 levels above the mobs/bosses you start one-shotting them. I think BfA and maybe Shadowlands are exception to this rule but not for long.

DH also uses leather and is relatively easy to play and has quite good tank spec. You can solo elites in the world that are the same level as you. But they don’t have sets before Legion because they didn’t exist then.

Druids I don’t like because you shapeshift into a cat or a bear. Yes they added some new looks but every druid is using them.

I don’t like the playstyle of rogues and I don’t recommend them to new players.

If you like the monk’s abilities go for it. I prefer using a cool new weapon or a spell.

Although not very beginner friendly, shamans are very versatile class. They can’t be tanks but I hope if SoD is very successful one day shamans can be tanks in retail. But mail transmogs are one of the worst.
