Help needed to better understanding Fury

Hey guys,
I am noob Fury trying to understand what talents and stats I should prioritise. Essentially I am seeking for help.

I am focusing on three scenarios: questing, dungeons, and Horrific Visions to upgrade Cloak. I know there is that Icy Veins website but it doesn’t I haven’t found answers there. I might equally be overthinking things as well.

Stats.
I have not fully understood stats but I think Haste should be prioritised over anything followed by Crit or Versatility depending on scenarios. Having said that, in horrific vision Versatility IMO should be taken over Crit due to better healing. Correct me if I am wrong. There might be thresholds I should think of and avoiding to exceed one stat over the other. Or should I equally distribute all stats?

Talents.
In terms of talents, I’d choose the following if my understanding is correct:

  • Questing:
War Machine, Double Time, Sudden Death/Furious Slash, Bounding Stride, Carnage, Dragon Roar, Siegebreaker
    1122123
  • Dungeon:
    War Machine, Impending Victory, Sudden Death, War Paint, Carnage, Dragon Roar, Siegebreaker;
    1223123
  • Horrific Visions: Fresh Meat, Storm Bolt, Sudden Death, War Paint, Carnage, Dragon Roar, Siegebreaker; 3323123

So I focused on mobility and short AoE abilities while questing, survivability and CC when in the HV + short AoE as there are smaller packs of mobs. Then damage and better survivability when in dungeons.

Thanks

Have a look at my build for an idea of talents. IMO use anger management instead of siegebreaker - better DPS. I didn’t know that until a fury warrior guildie told me, and my DPS rocketed.

Use Endless Rage, Double Time, Sudden Death, War-Paint, Carnage, Dragon Roar in every situation to start with.

The last row is largely preference, and they’re all fairly balanced.

If you don’t use Siegebreaker correctly you’ll loose a lot of damage.
If you’re the kind of person to hold your cooldowns for the right pull, use Anger Management and just press Recklessness on cooldown.

For stats you largely want to stack Crit, because you also want to stack the Azerite Trait: Cold Steel Hot Blood.

But keep in mind both of the above statements could be false depending on your currently accessible gear. Always sim yourself for accurate results.

A high tier warrior had this to say about it:

Thanks, guys.

I am currently testing Anger Management. It seems easier but did not see my damage was increased significantly. I’d say SB worked better on trash. With Anger Management I just spam Recklessness on CD but I need to use Whirlwind every third GCD. Having said that, Siegebreaker needs more considerations but its 30 secs CD within which 10 secs is the buff is not really too bad if you use it wrongly. I somehow prioritise SB on larger packs and always use Dragon Roar as a follower to make more AoE damage.

I was wondering about Warpaint but now can see works better with Endless Rage as I understand we get Enraged quite often and Warpaint makes more sense to me, now.

Cheers!

EDIT. Regarding the stats, After Crit, which stats is more important? I could sim this war but I have been said sats are

It is literally impossible to tell you, it entirely depends on what gear you have access to. Any answer I might give you would at best be an educated guess and is just as likely to be wrong as it is to be correct.

Go to Raidbots(dot)com, use the topgear function with the string from your simulationcraft addon in-game.

Thanks man.

So there is no best stat for a character, including all characters, not only Warriors? Quite frankly, I am a little surprised that everything nowadays is referred to raidbots.com; what’s the best stat, sim it; what’s the best gear; sim it; what’s the best essence, sim it etc. While Top Gear works well, I find raidbots confusing in terms of stats, I also use Pawn. Sometimes it suggests gear with lower ilvl, like -10 etc.

I changed from Anger Management to Siegebreaker and noticed a decent increase. I’m not well geared by any means but in a 5 mask vision it made a huge difference. Wish I’d levelled this toon sooner tbh

I prefer to use siege breaker at this moment, as you can burst Blood of the Enemy with it, and it should increase the damage of your Cold Steel, Hot Blood azerite traits (you’ll need it 3x on this build).

I use Double Time in raiding, and Storm Bolt in M+. The stun is too useful to not having M+. I also swap War-paint for the heroic leap buff in pretty much all raiding scenarios. There are no mechanics that you should be needing war-paint over movement imo.

If you’re using Blood of the Enemy, it’s nice have this sync up with recklessness and siege breaker, gives a nice burst window.

Really depends indeed. For me it’s haste, though I have 50% crit unbuffed (corruptions).

Every character has best stats. Most often it depends on how you play your character, though for some it’s a clear cut. High keys? (24+) requires versatility regardless. Havoc Demon Hunter? Versatility, always. Lots of classes where Mastery is always on the bottom of the list (by far). etc.
