What’s the lowest spec needed to play
The official ones: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/256565
If you want to buy something they it will differ a bit due to hardware age:
Used cheap:
- CPU: Used Intel i5 or i7 quad core (or better) Skylake (6000) or newer
- GPU: Used RX 570/470 or 580/480, GTX 1070 (or even 1080 depending on local prices)
- RAM: 2x8GB basic DDR4
- Storage: 512GB basic SATA SSD (but not something no-name without a review)
From new hardware:
- CPU: Ryzen 1600AF or quad core+ Intel (likely Intel better at this price point unless you can get cheap Ryzen 3300X or 3500X/3600X)
- GPU: GTX 1660, 1660 Ti, RX 5500, RX 5600, RX 5600 XT
- RAM: 2x8 GB, for AMD - something at around 3200MHz.
Ultra budget new:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3400G (4000 series superseeds it but it’s not out yet for end customers)
- GPU: None, you use integrated graphics, sufficient for WoW 1080p low-ish settings
- RAM: 2x8GB good quality RAM (integrated graphics really needs it)
Simple/small:
- Ryzen 4700U nettop if you find one available:

4700U should be better than 3400G in many ways… edit: prices went crazy on this one
