Hi guys, whats the best profession for hunter pls? I have 2 gathering professions atm, skinning and herbalism, thought it would be good money maker, but since its not so far, I thought I would change it to something different, just not sure what.
Skinning and leatherworking? I am not sure. I know engineering used to be very good profession for hunters too, but that was when I played WOTLK lol. I have no idea whats good for hunters on BfA. What would you recommend me guys? I still havent make my mind if I wanna be rich or if I wanna do huge damage, so help me here please. Tell me 2 proffessions to get rich and 2 proffesions to do good damage as hunter in raids and dungeons. I really dont know.
In general, Engineering is still a fairly useful profession for hunters(especially if you play a ranged spec) and you get access to scopes(yep they are back).
You can also craft/tinker other useful stuff. Nitro boost, damage absorb shields, permanent goblin gliders, and more.
If you don’t have access to cheap/free gems or enchants from your guild you could choose either jewelcrafting/enchanting.
And as always, Alchemy is never a bad choice if you feel that you need pots/flasks.
Currently I’ve got Mining/Engineering on my hunter. Engineering I’ve had since Burning Crusade. Used to have Mining as well but have switched that back and forth for other professions such as Alchemy.
In general, do not pick a profession based on the equippable gear you can craft with it. Acquiring gear nowadays is a fairly simple task anyway.
For gold, most professions have something that sells fairly well. Though, Jewelcrafting/Alchemy as well as Enchanting are never bad choices for making said gold.
