HELP! WoW keeps scanning game files in an endless loop

Hey, my WoW and WoW classic keep scanning the game files in an endless loop…
It loads to 100% and then starts from 0% again. Idk what to do.

I really don’t know what to do. I’m afraid that the problem will persist after a complete reinstall of the games because my download speed is quite slow, so it just takes ages.

I’ve tried the things below already:

Corrupted and damaged game files can cause a wide variety of problems and errors. Use the repair tool to fix these issues.

  1. Open the Battle.net desktop app.
  2. Click the icon of the game you are trying to repair.
  3. Click the cogwheel next to the Play button and select Scan and Repair.
  4. Click Begin Scan.
  5. Wait for the repair to finish.

And I’ve tried this:

  1. Uninstall the Blizzard Battle.net App (skip Step 6 for now, we will re-install later).
  2. Next (before re-installing) let’s delete any Battle.net, Blizzard, and/or Blizzard Entertainment folders in the Windows temporary file locations below. If you don’t see all 3 folders in each location, that is okay—just delete the folders you have):
  • Press Windows Key + R and type: %LOCALAPPDATA%. Delete any Battle.net, Blizzard, and/or Blizzard Entertainment folders.
  • Repeat the process for %APPDATA%, %TEMP%, and %PROGRAMDATA%. Delete any Battle.net, Blizzard, and/or Blizzard Entertainment folders.
  1. Finally, re-install the App .

aslo you can try to flush DNS, just to be sure, I’ll do mine

EDIT after uninstalling WoW
uninstalling battlenet
uninstaling antivirus
deleting all those temporary folders
flushing DNS
and restarting the PC

I installed battlenet and it started download the game, but I have to redownload entire 79 or so Gb

first try I did not uninstalled my antivirus, so I have feeling it was IT that cuase issues, but I can’t prove it

The original post is a year old.

He either quit, or found a solution. Either way, he is probably not going to see your response, and you shouldn’t necro such old posts.
