I’ve recently hit 40 points in the Mastering the Elements specialization and there is no notable change in the amount of rousing elements I’m receiving from charged herbs, neither when using the 12-hour cooldown ability (Overload Elemental Herb) nor when normally gathering from them.
Before I had reached 40 points in the spec. I received 3 Rousing Frost from Frigid Herbs, which still applies, same for Windswept Plants. I’m not sure whether something’s bugging for me or Blizz’ Fix hasn’t worked out (yet), but this might require further inspection.
EDIT / Update: I’ve just received 6 Rousing Frost, so it’s safe to say it works - but the amount / the chance of it happening doesn’t seem all too great (not a large sample size yet, so this might even out in the long run).
Not sure how the work this out it may have something to do with Deftness, Finesse etc playing a part too. But yes sometimes I get 3-4 other times i can get up to 7. The same applies to the herb nodes. I can get anywhere between 6 -12 herbs from a node but when I find a Lush Node, I only get 2. I often chuckle and say to myself that dev thinks lush means drinking.
Yeah, it’s safe to say I expected a bit more out of 40 points invested in a certain tree (especially since I’m interested in the Darkmoon Items as an Inscriptionist) but it is what it is - queue meme.
I’d assume it’s about Perception, since you’re gathering rare bonus material, but it may very well be Finesse either. Long story short, I expected more, bit flustered since plenty of professions have duds (judging by the many complaints), but it’s far from completely botched.
