Heritage armour and race change, why?

Type it in google (or bing if thats your thing) and you get plenty of results. The usual “If I race change, will I be able to get the heritage armour on allied races?”. But where’s the “why?” I can’t find a Blizzard response as to why you can’t have the armour if you race change. You can race change and use a boost to main races and not be affected, so why this treatment to allied races? I dearly wish to race change a a character to void elf…

Then do so.

Their heritage armor is ugly anyway (imo).
But if you really want it; just level an alt. Leveling an alt really doesn’t take that long nowadays.

Everyone knows you have to level up a character from start to finish to get their heritage armor,

Thats why. If you use a race change, you have not done that. You have not leveld your void elf from lvl 10 to lvl 60.
You leveld your human, or gnome, or whatever, from lvl 10-60. The fact that your previous race was human or gnome instead of voidelf does not matter.

You did not level a void elf, you leveld something else

Is level 60 the requirement or level 50?

I like it

Because you need to put in some effort to be able to use the heritage armor. Iirc old races get a quest line they need to do.

You’re right, its probably lvl 50, I stand corrected

Fair enough. Then putting a bit of work into it, shouldn’t be a problem, right?

Not exactly.

I like the idea of doing a long heritage quest to unlock the Armor. It’s fun but also requires work, and you actually get to feel for the race.

Meanwhile for Allied races you need to level a character from 10-50 just to unlock a armor, and there is no quest

I like the first option better

Me too, but I think it’s very, very, very unlikely they’ll change it at this time.

If by ugly you mean the best heritage ever made, then yes.

I meant ugly. Really ugly.

But the boobies!

Pics please?

Isn’t the level requirement for the heritage armor of the original 4 allied races 45?

P.S I’m not sure why I replied to Tholkrad. It was unintentional.

I doubt that, think every one is 50 now after the updates

It was good for lewdness when it was unlocked in legion, but since legion we have gotten the option to remove chest as transmogg option.

I still think WoW have too small chest sizes, and i wish we at least got a slider for it, so the people who are more in favor of larger sizes can have that if they want.

Allied races had to level so that everyone used the revamped levelling system. It was a make you play metric. As heritage was introduced late in the game, they didn’t deem it necessary to apply this requirement to older existing races.

If you have levelled a character and unlocked heritage, it will stay unlocked even if you delete the character.

Here is why. Blizzard just wanted to add an incentive to level up new races instead of race changing. The couldn’t do that for core races becasue putting this kind of limitations would be unfair. If someone had a character for 10 yaers with some race changes or someone boosted it back in WoD or early in Legion they wouldn’t get heritage armor. But how those people were supposed to know that this decision will make them unable to receive a certain reward in the future. With Allied Races, heritage armors are avaialbe as soon as they are released so you know right away there is a reward you will not be eligible if you race change or boost.

Or smaller!
