Seeing as the 11.0.5 ptr rolled out with alot of updates to some hero talents for other specs i think this is the right time to also change some things about ours. Mostly talking about shado-pan because that is the one i played with the most. From my experience with celestial the only thing i dont really like about it is how conduit scales with enemy count and the buff heart of the jade serpent the rest is just w/e maybe other people can say more about it that played around with it more.
So shado-pan, currently very passive which i dont really mind seeing the reduction in button bloat for WW. But there are some glaring issues with it seems like it was redesigned midway trough and came out half baked in my opinion.
It has 2 different spells for the same ability 3 if you include shadow flurries, seeing that i would have assumed it should have been able to stack to 20 instead of 10.
This also goes in to the fact that against all odds still stacks to 20 which is IMPOSSIBLE to get and its just a broken talent that will never be achieved. Same with 2 wisdom off the wall buffs being rather lack luster looking at the mastery one and the dodge crit one.
Besides this high impact is a rather lackluster talent and will almost never be able to gain value seeing it i would have assumed this should have been the ‘AOE’ talent for this tree but its not really doing its job being 0.2% damage over a whole dungeon.
There is also no clear indicator for how much energy you currently have spend to a point that you need weak auras to track that, it also doesnt show on the tooltip that 3 buffs are 20 seconds and the shadow one is 40 seconds.
You also gain 10 stacks so quickly that you are just sitting on them for 15 seconds without being able to spend them.
Besides all this the defensive notes are just laughable and completely garbage.
So what would be nice to see changed? these are just my opinions:
High impact: I would like to see some changes to this talent maybe make it a debuff that stays on the target untill it dies and it would be great for the shadow flurries to be able to apply this debuff too. Or just straight up make this talent that all flurry strike effects become aoe instead of just the shadow ones.
One Versus Many:
Seeing as FoF counts double towards flurry strike generation i assume the cap was meant to be higher. Maybe give this another funcionality or increase the cap of flurry strikes to 20 at this moment youll gain 10 stacks with just 1 cast of FoF.
Against all odds:
have mentioned this talent before in another post and above here again stacking to 20 on a 6 second duration when flurry strikes only stack to 10 is just impossible to get either increase the cap of flurry to 20 or change this to a stacking 2% buff.
Wisdom of the Wall:
With the dodge crit buff and the mastery buff being rather lackluster it would be nice to see some changes to these. For the dodge crit one cant it be something with haste for WW seeing as we currently scale more with haste. Idk its hard for me to come up with something for these buffs maybe someone else has a great idea.
Defensives:
The defensive notes could really use some work too they are really lackluster at this moment maybe do something with our current defensives to beef them up instead of giving some DR or avoidance.
Indicator:
Would like some indicators in the base UI that shows how much energy is spend towards flurry strikes and a clear visual on how long the buffs lasts and which buff it is.
Theme:
I still dont really like the fact its called shado-pan when i has nothing to do with the shado-pan besides the icon it has. Maybe just change it up as a whole and give it a different name.
Thanks for the work done on WW hope to see some changes to the hero talents that are weird and half baked in the upcoming 11.0.5 patch. or maybe even on the live patch.
