Out of curiosity. Whats the ilevel req for heroic dungeons? Honest question cause I didnt really check…
651 while normal dungeons are yielding 639

Hmm curious. Is it on wowhead or in-game tooltip? Noticed that some in-game tooltips seem to be bugged and giving out wrong info.
If its indeed the case then I dont know…wq rewards and reshii 700+ back could boost the said ilevel?

I am having the same issue actually, I wanted to catch up on gear for my alts which are about ilvl 630-635
The only options are 639 gear non upgradable from normals (really?)
Heroic which REQUIRES 651 that you cant even get from normals even through upgrades as you cant upgrade it
I skipped the story on my alts to get the cloak fast so I didnt get any of the 642 gear, I am basically not going to be able to get any catch up gear at all so I guess my alts will have to be shelved unless I pay 200k per set

I have alts with season two m1 gear and queue option is grayed out. 
I can confirm it 100% requires ilvl +651, I tried with a 650 char earlier even and it did not let me queue
I guess you are expected to buy the 642 off the AH and then upgrade it with valorstones to 651+ which is absolutely insane for a catch up (and also a crazy waste of valorstones)
Aight curiosity got the best of me and turned on the PC to check it myself.
Hmm its indeed 651. Blizz should really lower it(or increase normal ilvels). Feels like a huge gap between normal and heroic leap.

Karesh questline give you either full or almost full 642 itlv which you can upgrade with valor.
Do that and you shoudl be Gucci for hc dungeons.
Quest itself is automatic gear catch up

Doing the weekly chest thingy quest (where first open guarantees an epic) gives veteran epics with a chance of champion track.
I’ve gotten two from them so far.

I am aware of that, but why for mere HC dungeons.
Two items will not do.
We are talking about few weeks of doing several weekly actives just to access mere HC dungeons.

You shouldnt have to upgrade quest gear via valorstone to even join HEROIC
Also there’s no catch up if you skipped the intro on alts to get the cloak faster, you are pretty much left with nothing at all.

world quest gear is 655 for me
maybe upgrading that would help?

I like playing dungeons. I enjoy heroic dungeons. But i can not.
I am not going to play stupid delves just because gear is better.

Is noone else annoyed by the fact the relevant equipment within one single patch has a variation of over 80 levels? This is enormous difference in power. How can Normal Dungeons of the same season drop 639 when the ilvl goes up to 720?
Differences in ilvl between everything need to be brought closer. They should do away with the 13 ilvl difference between tiers.
