I want to report what seems to be a major bug with Elemental Rune dungeons. My group and I (all level 90) ran multiple heroics and specifically activated Inferno Protocol. According to the official information, bosses in Inferno Protocol should drop Fissure Stone Fragments.
Instead, every boss we killed dropped Obsidian Fragments.
- Tested in The Stonecore → activated Inferno Protocol, first boss dropped Obsidian.
- Tested again in Vashj’ir instance → same result, more Obsidian.
- Just to be thorough, we then tried Twilight Protocol in an Uldum instance → also only Obsidian Fragments dropped.
This means Inferno Protocol is not working as intended. Either:
- The loot table for Inferno is broken and defaulting to Twilight’s Obsidian Fragments, or
- Fissure Stones were silently removed without any patch notes or clarification.
