Can i still collect them by transmoging my current weapon in to the desired weapon and collect its appearances? Cant seem to find the answer and i dont want to waste time doing it if it ends up not working thanks in advance.
You still can collect all of them except the mage tower ones.

Na yeah i get that i meant the different colorations. Do i gotta get the original artifact and do the achievements or can i just transmog it?
As far as I’ve noticed, appearances that would need you to clear X amount of dungeons in Legion still accumulate the tally when you do them with any weapon, given the base artifact weapon is unlocked by that character.
I completed Balance of Power on my pally, and unlocking new tints of that particular appearance unlocked its equivalents for different class alts that didn’t even do the quest, so I’d say as long as the base artifact is there and unlocked, you’re good. Getting them isn’t particularly long or difficult anyhow, thankfully.

No problem, though I’d still apply caution and like, bring the artifacts in your bag just in case. It’s super trial-and-error and I only noticed things by chance in my artifact appearance hunt.

God, I still got how many more dungeons to do on rogue for the hidden colour?
Same on DH.
I also need to do balance of power as well.
Pretty sure there was a patch where if you unlocked it on one character, it would unlock on all characters?
Don’t know for sure since I did them all on all characters anyways 
I heard it was for balance of power, is it the same for the hidden appearences?
Would still have to do it on rogue because he’s the most of the way through but I don’t know how many more times I want to be on that damn kvaldir boat.

200 World Quests of any sort.
Also you can unlock one hidden appearance and once you’ve done those two above you get access to the colours of other hidden appearances you didn’t unlock the base colour for.
Only Balance of Power, afaik.
I do have some hidden appearances and extra tints, but my classes whom I never had a hidden appearance for, did not unlock any when that patch hit, sadly.
Reminder, you only need to do Balance of Power once now for it to be applied across the whole account.

And thank GOD for that I did not feel like suffering repeated weeks of grinding for my other classes

On Demon Hunter, I am 5 dungeons from the hidden appearence recolour and 57 world quests.
Guess i know what I’m doing over the next few days.
