I’ve just read this article about that such a thing exists:
If it’s supposed to help catching up, why is it hidden? Why can’t we know how it works, what should I do in the game?
The whole crafting system is such a mess nowadays, not to mention that professions are totally inequal even in this catchup regard. Now I have to go do some KP farming.
The thing is that professions are rly poorly explained, with all the possibilities for acuity farm, shuffle, and the rest
Also not having a chance to respec AT LEAST ONCE, so I lvled ench to disenchant greens and then blizz kills it, and here I am 60 points wasted and no coming back
Why any alt leveling ench will be a better enchanter just cause blizz thrown my spec in the bin
Dont get me wrong, I like the professions and how deep n fun they are, but blizz need 1. Explain em better with all small thingys you can do 2. At least offer a respec if they implement any changes in the profession you leveled alrdy
The catch-up doesn’t seem to be any faster than normal progress. For example the priest alt I’m levelling right now is a herbalist, and I can’t even get the Deepgrove Rose to drop (which is a prerequisite for the Deepgrove Roots), let alone the Deepgrove Roots themselves. And when they do drop, which from my other alts seems infrequent, they only give one point anyway.
While not necessarily in your face obvious, it’s good the catch-up mechanic is pretty unobtrusive and doesn’t need players to do crazy grinding to get some benefit from it.
And let’s be real: there is an unacceptably high number of mechanics which are not adequately explained in-game. Discreet catch-up mechanics are not top of the list for ‘must explain’ treatment.
